MediaGuardian reports today that the Deal or No Deal phone in competition has made Endemol £10m since it launched last year - so it more than covers the cost of both viewers and contestant prizes.
One thing I wanted to ask about the competitions - when you ring up if selected do you just leave your details or do you have to pick a box or answer a question.
It's just I was under the impression that the reason shows like Richard and Judy have ridiculously easy questions is because the competitions have to have some element of "skill" in them - and cannot be just a random draw, which effectively is what Deal or No Deal appears to be.

No, because there is a free method of entry they aren't required to have a skill element. There is no such entry for Richard and Judy.
No sound, complete with phone, outrageous offers, 22 boxes and a suspiciously high amount of people picking £250k for their box on the high score page.
Have fun
what has happened to the online deal or no deal. its changed from yesturday to beat the broker. what has happened to the boxes and noel has dissapeared as well

To hazard a guess I'd say C4 / Endemol weren't happy with the name of their game and image of their presenter featuring on an unofficial website.

What's the problem? It's still the same game only with changed graphics. I dare say Endemol saw it and wrote to the site owner.
