marksi, can you let this go now, please? You're entitled to your opinion that 'awkward' was the wrong word to use but please refrain from taking a perfectly legitimate thread off course over something so petty.
Excuse me Rob, but are you doing to be telling Joe off publicly for his foul mouthed insults?

What happens if I say... "No Deal"?
Fine, green boxes are awkward.
As is getting insulting private messages from Joe Havard without feeling like you'll be told off for replying.
But hey, move on. Nothing more to see here, as the ITV1 announcer once said.
I notice it's a 45 minute show this coming Saturday, then goes back to an hour the week after. What's that all about then ?
Anyone starting to tire of it yet ? If they're not careful at 6 times a week, every week, the Millionaire style burnout will set in sooner rather than later. Shouldn't it have a bit of a break if it's to remain fresh ?

That's what I've been saying for ages and the same thing happened to The Weakest Link. Although it's BBC2 ratings remain strong it's primetime ratings on BBC1 have dwindled.

First paragraph - Channel 4 only commisioned 6 one hour versions. So far we've had three so I suspect they'll bang the other three in as and when they feel the need to. Personally I feel that Jim's overacting for an hour on Saturday, could have damaged the show for the casual viewers browsing around if they didn't like the shouting and punching the air theatrics.
Second paragraph - No - not yet. However, If I was in charge of daytime at Channel 4 I wouldn't want to be running it year round till the end of 2008. Maybe the best thing for it to do is go off air at the end of June and return in early September.
There is a post on Digital Spy suggesting the second series of The Coach Trip will air daily at 4.30pm from 17th April, so perhaps Deal or No Deal is set to take a break - though they have nothing to back this up with.
A nice feature in the Radio Times today about C4 daytime and how Daytime is the new Primetime. Some great pics of all the C4 daytime stars at a photoshoot - but unfortunately the article is little more than soundbites, though Des Lynam makes the valid point that he made his name as a daytime TV host - after all Grandstand is on in the afternoons!
I was under the impression that Countdown was live. However, the phone was being used and I couldn't hear, so switched the Subs on via Sky. I suddenly realised that there was no delay like in original live shows. In other words, Carol pulled up a 3 in numbers according to the Subs before she even put it up?
Has Countdown now become a recorded programme or is it heavily scripted?

17th April is also Easter Monday. Deal might be moved later in the schedule (5pm?) as I can't see Paul O'Grady recording a live show on that day.
