The Yorkshire Evening Post suggests that Countdown's days in Leeds might be numbered - referring to rumours "on the internet"

I haven't heard that before. Surely they arn't basing a story on some people making stuff up on Digital Spy!

Yes, but there are certain flaws...

I personally dont think its cheap - more like the US version is extravagant and totally OTT. The friendly, laid back version here in the UK is surely more efficient than the tacky glitz of the US version. There's no need to pay 26 sallow models for example.

Ummm - that's a tricky offer - can I ask the east wing please, Noel? Laughing

It looked very awkward with green boxes being used for St. Patricks day. Having said that, they looked much fresher and it was a nice change to the usual red.

Poor Lucy - 40 shows and still not got the chance to play. For the last three Saturdays I thought it was bound to be her go at last!

Tonight though Jim didn't take the game seriously - and lost as a result.

The £18,000 offer was a VERY good offer - an offer so good I think he'd have dropped the next offer even if he'd hit all blues (something the Banker often does after giving an overly high offer!). In that situation there needs to be at least two deals on the board - and in this case I don't think there was!

Back to yesterday - James was so dull that when the banker rang up before the game even began I really thought he was going to offer him something to leave before a single box had been opened!

Because, if you been watching Deal or No Deal since it started, you'll have noticed that the boxes have always been red. Rolling Eyes

I'm really not understanding how that equates to "awkward".
