Well, today's show was a shocker, starting off really well but winning 1p in the end.
Still great though - Deal or No Deal is a rare example of a show that works both ways and is just as watchable when playing with 1p and £100 as it is £100,000 and £250,000.
Back to the issue of rescheduling - 45 minutes works for it. If it had to be adjusted to fit into a new schedule dragging it out to an hour wouldn't be in the shows interest. The pacing would be lost and they'd possibly require an extra round.
I think they could get away with cutting it to 30 minutes - it just means an extra three boxes opened in each part (5,3,3 in pt 1, 3,3,3 in pt2). The pace would need speeding up a bit, but I think this would be preferable to stretching to an hour.
Did someone capture it? As I am told that for the first time you heard the banker talking/laughing.
Noel held the phone to his mic and you could here the banker laughing!
I wonder if the banker's pay is at all related to how well he does?
Also, will Nick get his 1p in cash or will the banker write a cheque? Noel actually asks the banker at the beginning of the show if he gave Irene a fiver or wrote a cheque. The response was something like he stuck to his normal procedure.
I think the guy, in the end, wanted the 1p winning for the 'fame' of itinstead of the £100. Is this show LIVE?
No! Although I think they are filmed fairly close to the date they are to be aired on - 3 are filmed in one go.
Dude, this was recorded the first week of December. Without wanting to be rude, I did write this right at the bottom of the last page.
I've been told by one of the contestants that one of the other players decided to give him a penny themselves right at the end during the group hug bit. 2p for 22 shows work, there.

Writing a cheque? Now
that
would be taking the pìss!
Hmm, but then you have the tricky proposition of finishing at 5:45.
Over the Christmas period, DoND was averaging over four million, peaking at 4.5m at one point.
Re: recordings,
Three (although we've also heard they cut back to two for a period) a day over a five week period with a week off in the middle (this entire 66 episode series had finished filming by the end of the first week of December - hence the confused looks on old people's faces when they get asked if they had a nice Christmas).
Recording resumes next Monday.
So the decorations were put up early and when Noel says the date sometimes, that's simply the date he knows it will air on? Do they just want us to think it's live?
