I thought in January 1993, Border TV outscore its playout to Granada, meaning it joined up with it for most non network series. IE Sons and daughters or Young doctors etc, The only exception to this was Local opts out for Border series, high road and of course Last ITV series of Blockbusters going out until Sept 93 18.30.

What come as a great shock is Border were pushing out alot of stuff at 17.10 during 96, 97. Did border get fed up with Granada scheduling? Or just opt-ed out more?

Granada handled sales and playout of ads for Border, I believe, from 1993 and they did share some programmes, but it was a year later when Border joined up with Granada for S&D and Prisoner (they were always on the Granada feed for Young Doctors). They continued to handle their own playout of Border-only shows post 1994, so were still free to schedule these as they wished, although for convenience they shared a lot of content with Granada.

What were they putting out at 5.10?

When you read the list below you will get a bit of a shock, Its would seems there were trying to fill up the slots. I believe Border jumped 71 episodes from 477–547 of Prisoner. Its stated "Border joined up with the Granada stage of the series from this date and therefore had to skip 81 episodes 827-907. The series finished on 28 April 1994." Just seems like a waste of time there could have used that 17.10 slot better.

Border were really pushing it with the 5.10 slot.

During 1996:

* Jan onwards for at 21 weeks; Movies games and videos on Monday and Chain letters other 4 days.
* August; Carry ons?? I think are these https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carry_On_series_on_screen_and_stage#Television
* Autumn: sports Programme - Monday other 4 days Crosswits. ( 10 weeks)

During 1997: Its a real mix bag everything and anything including
* Wish you were here
* Sport Action
* Up to TWO episodes of Blockbusters per week.
* Movies Games and Videos
* Celeb Squares
* £64'000 Question
* Dinosaurs
* Mad Science ( what is that)
* Box Office america
* Cybernet
* Im sure there would H&W to 17.10 to allow special Local Border programmes at 18.30

Even High road was on at 19.30. until Later 1997 and that was then moved to 17.10 slot.

Of course it be fair some of the other ITV stations were none the better
* Grampian pushed out "Paradise Beach" at 17.10 slot during 96/97, Then around Aug 97 started showing Echo Point another OZ series.
* Anglia and Central had Shortland Street for most of the 90s at 17.10
* HTV had 2 parter Highway to heaven, A country Practice ( that finished in march 99) and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bagdad_Cafe_(TV_series)

What were Border Local series made for the area during the 90s? Also it does seem ITV had a real problem with the slot even before H&W jumped ship to Ch5. When you have areas pushing out double Oz soaps to fill up air time etc, you have to wonder if Blockbusters should have been kept on.

It seem the sitution got a better around 1999 went it just dumped Shortland street in that slot, I'm not sure if it was showing the central feed or not.
