You're breaking the law. The tickets are free.

You should really mention that they don't guarantee entry to the programme.

TV companies always give out more free audience tickets than they can accomodate due to a high number of no-shows.

Thanks

And also I won't change the listing now cos it'll cost me more in listing fees but when the person wins the auction, I will tell them and offer them some of their money back.

Thanks for telling me all this everyone - and by the well is it still illegal for me to try and sell them if someone sold them to me?

If somebody murdered someone, it isn't okay for you to do it as well, is it?

Blimey, well I wouldn't exactly put the two crimes side-by-side!

In essence though, Larry is right. Your actions are your responsibility regardless of how you ended up with the tickets.

It is not unreasonable to pass the tickets freely in return for a handling charge for postage, but you cannot charge for the tickets themselves.

Could always make it a charity auction though - see the eBay selling page. Proceeds could even go to the Committee for Abstinence in Social Housing ... mind you you'd never fit all that on a cheque.

The BBC regularly trawl eBay for this kind of item and then remove the listings.
