Is Dead Ringers this coming Thursday night a new series? or repeats?

If its a New Series, seessh yes it was a great show but c'mon its been done to death now. Time to call it a day. What else is there left to spoof?

It's a brand new series, I don't think it's done to death it can remain fresh if they come up with new characters.

Speaking of which does anyone know why they have only released Series 1 on DVD?

There is definitely a new series starting this month, I don't think it is being done to death as the last series was this time last year and there wasn't a Christmas Special this year.

Not really watched it since it moved from Mondays.

Apart from Mitchell and Webb, the Thursday night comedy zone has never really worked for me.

The Thursday night comedy zone was where the new "Dog" idents were originally used

Politics and popular culture do not occur in a vacuum, the world remains not to be a vacuum so there's always going to be something to spoof. It's like saying that Bremner, Bird and Fortune should be canned given how long it's been going and how "done to death" it must be.

There's loads for Dead Ringers to spoof.... notably Dale Winton on Supermarket Sweep.

it's a shame there wasn't a Xmas special last year, presumbly they were all busy one way or the other.

(We know Jan Ravens was with SCD, but it's a shame there was no spoof of that, or would that have been rubbing salt in Jan's wounds!)

What do Kevin, Phil & Mark do between series? You never hear of them doing anything!

Jan & John always seem to do something. Jon mostly Tony Blair impressions!

True, but it depends if they use the same jokes (but reworked for topicality) or recycle sketches; which I feel is the scourge of many sketch shows ( Little Britain for example).

Brilliant start to the new series tonight...

Simon Cowell auditioning a hotel porter
Kate Silverton - the Breakfast 'newspunk'
The announcer on Channel 4: "This is Channel 4, why don't you complain now to save time later.." Laughing
The Queen starring in Prime Suspect
Jeremy Kyle "Your scum!"
