Laura Tobin Wink

She is a little poppet!

Cant we have regional news twice an hour though?

I like it all so far especially how the clock and logo animates going into and out of the breaks and regions bit, The music is ok, The studio is very bright and warm, Like how they show the newspaper headlines in a glass panel

The regional weather map was too bright though

Lots of people are asking for Kate & Dan back on Twitter, Not seen any positive comments so far

I've not seen the female presenter before, what has she done previously?

BBC North West Tonight since 2005, and a few weekend shifts on 5 Live Breakfast.

Actually Ranvir started at NWT in 2007 with the rebrand and new studio.

I dont know why twitter are moaning about loosing Kate & Dan... they were both truly awful.

No, she'd been a reporter and short bulletin presenter for a couple of years prior to joining Gordon on the main show.

I hope there's a news desk. Right now you could believe Ranvir will just sit on the right sofa to read the news

Yes, was going to mention that she did the late bulletins before joining Gordon.

Don't like those awkward weather close-ups on Laura.

Think the news desk is next to the weather plasma....

Desk next to Laura. So far, old GMTV set layout.

Fake grinning already.

I don't like these corny deviations from the autocue. Matt and Ranvir seemed better than Lorraine and Aled so far.

Aled and LK....I'm sure they're lovely....but really? I would love Matt and Ranvir to carry the whole show, they were great! Interesting to see Naga Munchetty on twitter "if you're a fan of the lovely Laura Tobin, you can now see her on @Daybreak" - not sure BBC News would like this kind of advertising - although ITV haven't really bothered to so at least someone's trying.
