Dan was being a little bit 'playful' this morning, felt like end of term at school today, a good atmosphere came across. I'm glad they bid Dan a proper farewell and he didn't just disappear like Tasmin, Steve etc... he seemed to be welling up a bit too...no promo at the end for next week - I just don't see why they haven't used this week at all to potentially get more viewers by pomoting the new show...odd!
I just can't get over the clichéd advert with presenters laughing incessantly. It's not showing the new team in the best light with fake laughter for 20 odd seconds.
To be fair Aled Jones reminds me of a younger Mike Morris and the partnership between Lorraine and Mike worked well during the TVam days - so this could actually work.
I still can't get my head round the choice of Aled Jones. Daybreak doesn't work and it will be put out of its misery within 12 months.
Because he works well with Lorraine? I didn't expect him and have never really seen him on anything but he came across well in that interview. He'll do fine, and its usually the presenters with the lowest expectations that do well. I have a feeling this version of Daybreak is going to work.
