Any mention of who will be taking over from Dan Lobb as Sports Editor?
I wouldn't be suprised if there isn't a sport editor, the new programme doesnt see that as a focus. Untill the last few months, when Dan Lobb joined GMTV never had a sports presenter/ editor for years. Sport during 6-7 would just be done a newspaper journalist.
Was it ever noted why Alex accepted then rejected the Daybreak offer? I've enjoyed seeing him on screen in the morning and has had a few moments so to speak with Dan and Kate, worked really well.
why do they have john going to america when they have Lucy Watson? an idea stuck me today.. i would have loved to see sue presenting the main show.. just a thought but the more i think of it the more i think it would work! also has Gavin been confirmed the new sports man? i find him very unprofessional.
Sending 'big name' John Stapleton on a high profile assignment on relaunch week - seems more like a PR exercise in establishing the news credentials on the relaunched Daybreak than anything else. And I'd guess he maybe involved in election coverage in November
An idea stuck me today, I would have loved to see Sue presenting the main show.. Just a thought but the more i think of it, the moreI think that it would work!
I know what you mean, when Christine & Adrian were the faces of Daybreak, Sue really felt like the mother figure, baking cakes for Adrian on his birthday and always being really polite and caring. Although I think that Lorraine could also have that feel and that it could work equally as well.
