I wonder since it looks like they are going down the American route with the logos and whatnot, I wonder if they will follow that route and have a voiceover at 6am....'Live from Studio 7 at The London Studios, This is Daybreak, with Matt Barbet and Ranvir Singh'.

Or would that be just TO American?

GMTV used a voiceover a few times, notably during the last era (2009-2010), but they also used it around the millenium or so.

Also, if they did have an announcement I doubt they would be as specific as "Studio 7 at The London Studios". Probably just "Live from London" or something.

But...but..but.....that would be too London-centric?????

QUICK - MOVE IT TO QUAY STREET BECAUSE THAT'S HOW YOU SOLVE LONDON CENTRICITY...

rather than just accepting that London is our capital and a programme comes from there, just because the background is London doesn't meant the content is!

Don't be silly.

On the press shots, it may just be my eyes, but Ranvir Singh looks pregnant. I'd assumed she'd had her baby, but maybe not. If that's the case, she'll be leaving for maternity leave very soon!

She only went on maternity in April so it is a quick turnaround! She wasn't due back on North West Tonight until next year. I suspect she's come back early due to this new job.

No, I'm applying the BBC's same response to that level of criticism of their breakfast offering (despite not being visibly in London) - I'm not suggesting that you want that!

I was also being sarcastic to your sensible remarks "rather than just accepting that London is our capital and a programme comes from there, just because the background is London doesn't meant the content is"! Laughing Definitely need some sort of sarcasm emoticon!

So do we think that 6-8:30 will all go under the same brand of 'Daybreak'. As I don't think GMTV worked well during the 2009-2010 era when they did that you would tune it at 6:55 with John & Penny and then after the weather you'd get two new faces at 7. Going under a simple 'Daybreak News' brand would surfice and then 7-8:30 going under a main 'Daybreak' brand with News bulletins using the same 'Daybreak News' brand.

I take it you are the sort of person who would tune in at 10:55 and then be annoyed after getting used to Simon McCoy and Carrie "My Salary is £92,000" to find they had been replaced by Matthew Alieniwala and Cartoon Jane. Oh the travesty... why cant the first set of presenters just stay on the whole day... or why not call it something else like "BBC News Ninety-Two-Thousand" and "The Great Gazoo Today"?

We should file this under "Additional Unnecessary Branding" - it was NEVER a problem on GMTV and marked a change of tone with the change in presenters... very easy to understand.

Well no not really. The presenter on a rolling news services aren't really important. And rolling news channel are 'Rolling' and run 24-hours a day- so of course I don't want the same presenters on all day.

You know I was talking about the branding the presentation of a new breakfast programme and I get slated for it you know this is a presentation forum after all! It comes to something when you can't even mention Presnetation without getting some sarcastic moron to make some sarcastic comment that just wasnt needed!! Mad

And I'm not saying you have got to agree but far too many people on here are to quick to try and catch certain people out, its utterly pathetic!

I would have liked the GMTV name to be reinstated, since January marks its 20 anniversary!

Is this the actual new logo for Lorraine or just a really good mock? Only asked as no one seems to have commented on it...
