Can someone tell me about the new set, is it in the same building or somewhere else? What will happen with the current set? It had a great view that was destroyed by their messy reaction to bad ratings. Rolling Eyes

The new set for Daybreak will be in Lorraine's current set, and Loose Women's current set. All three programmes will share the studio. The studio is on the ground floor whilst the current/soon to be old set of Daybreak is on the upper floor somewhere. So the programme will be in the same building.
CC
Cross Channel
Cross Channel said that it was going to be a whole new name when I reffered to the middle show as Today (as in GMTV Today) so I don't know what that logo is for?

To clarify the 6-8:30 part will just be called Daybreak not Newshour and Today.

The Lorraine logo is similar but in pink and orange (forming peach) and the round ball (sun) is on the right of the logo.

Is the music changing or staying the same? I'd be quite sad to see the music go, its quite good and the tune does stick in your head which, for brand awareness, is helpful.

Yes the music is completely changing. Both have the same tune but Daybreak is more newsy and Lorraine less newsy.

Thanks for that CC! Bit like the 2009 set !

I liked the original Daybreak studio with the minimalism and how it was reliant on the view from the windows, and the current Daybreak theme is quite catchy!

Thank you very much for clearing it all up for me. Smile

Seems silly too me to have changed the 'Lorraine' logo. It gives the impression that they are merging the two shows and I thought it was all made clear that 'Lorraine' was her own show. I am assuming there will be separate set areas so even though they are in the same studio it could still pass for two separate shows.

I wonder since it looks like they are going down the American route with the logos and whatnot, I wonder if they will follow that route and have a voiceover at 6am....'Live from Studio 7 at The London Studios, This is Daybreak, with Matt Barbet and Ranvir Singh'.

Or would that be just TO American?

It'll be coming from studio 3.. Also, a voice over is not that American. Both the BBC and ITN have used them.
