If Alex isn't moving to Daybreak then I think that is a very wise move. As we have seen Daybreak can break your career, Kirsty, Steve, Tasmin, Phil as well as Christine and Adrian have had there reputations tarnished. From twitter I read that Phil is now working away from the cameras, this from somebody who was a prominent face on the ITV News network little under two years ago. Meanwhile there is so much uncertainty which doesn't paint a good picture, Lucy Watson for example. Her flight to New York surely still can't be waiting despite many months ago announcing she is the new New York correspondent. The uncertainty with the weather presenter's as well. You wouldn't be surprised if you worked at Daybreak and got hired one day and fired the next.
If Daybreak continues to continue disastrously then Lorraine could be ruined through the torrid of potentially bad publicity and lack of viewers that would follow.
So he's actually replacing Kate as editor and not Steve as correspondent? Will be interesting to see where that leaves Kate. That is just about 500 steps backwards for Daybreak.
