Daybreak: With Lorraine Kelly and Aled Jones

If you were to change it for somebody with a journalistic background, say Matt Barbet or John Stappleton. The first hour solo with the big stories, The main show with Lorraine with more life stories & entertainment & the last hour with Lorraine alone with fashion, cooking, and showbiz wouldn't be that bad.
I think the problem at the moment is that we're uncertain & unfamiliar with what Aled would be like with this sort of programme.

Well it makes no difference I feel, they'd quickly revert back to two presenters at 6am.

It is most likely Aled will present from 7 but this has yet to be confirmed.

Well he didn't exactly give any confirmation, except his own word, true confirmation would have been providing an article from the ITV press office or another authoritative source. Seriously.

As an aside - if he does come back - bad move. I think Steve was great as a fill in/entertainment editor, far better than Richard Arnold, and it's a shame if he'll be going.

Thank you Cross Channel - it's good this has been confirmed as it was all speculation before. I think Richard will be a great asset to the show. Is he going to be covering Entertainment instead of Steve/Kate? When Richard made an appearance on the show last year he was great fun.

I noticed that Alex Beresford was presenting the ITV national weather bulletin last night. I know that this was going to be Lucy's new job and she was supposed to finish two weeks ago. I wonder will Alex being "the face of weather" be delayed until the re-launch?
