I'm just looking forward to the summer now when the actual view of London can be seen, instead of all the orangeness everywhere. It just looks so much cleaner and pleasant.

I agree. They've made the studio look very homely and welcoming for what is a studio consisting mainly of windows, but it will totally transform in summer days when it will be bright daylight by 6am. I don't think it helps by comparing it to the Christmas decorations shot, I'm still not keen on those dangling baubles.

Any news on Christmas scheduling for Daybreak? Are they still continuing with Lorraine over Christmas (even if without Lorraine), or are they extending Daybreak to profile the show more to people who may not be working that usually don't get the chance to watch breakfast TV, and also to cut a few costs of running two studios over the Christmas break.

According to the Radio Times on the 27th and the 28th Daybreak will be on from 7am to 8.30am, and the 29th-31st will be as normal.

For me it would make more sense on the weekdays until January for Daybreak to run from 7am to 9.25am, having a guest host for Lorriane for one day I could understand, but a whole week doesn't make sense to me.

Unless they use Kate Garraway to fill in for Lorraine, obviously if we presume that Adrian & Christine will feature on Daybreak between Christmas & New Year. I know that it's ITV Breakfast, but surely now that its under the ITV umbrella, they could amend the schedule to 7-10am if they wanted to. Unsure how this would work with the remaining regions/nations, unless they gave a choice to opt out.

I can confirm that Lorraine is running throughout. Lorraine has prerecorded the christmas week episodes this week.

ITV would be free to schedule Daybreak, or anything else, over the 9.25am franchise change. But equally UTV, STV and Channel are free to opt-out at 9.25am whether ITVplc liked it or not

Anyone watch the link to the weather before 8 this morning? There was a bit of banter between Chiles and Lucy. She actually seemed pretty comfortable there. That's the way it should be... Although, not talking about awful chat up lines... THat's really gonna rake in the viewers

I see schedules say Kate & Dan presenting Daybreak tomorrow, but Dan is tweeting he is stuck:

Not gonna make it back for @Daybreak tomorrow! Sad Making new friends and everyone being looked after well thanks to BA!!

Whose next in line now? John?

I imagine it will be John who is drafted in, or will they give someone like Nick Dixon a shot. I'd like to see Steve Hargrave with Kate - they may think that Kate and John together is too "GMTV" (not that there was anything wrong with their partnership when they presented together).

The only thing is I have noticed a major lead presenter if you can call it that or maybe experience?

Adrian and Christine - Adrian being the experienced
Dan & Kate - Kate being the more News experienced, Maybe one of man reasons why Dan & Christine are highly unlikely to present together.
John & Kate both are fine together.
Nick Dixon I think presented GMTV once of twice in the Summer Holidays, definitely from the News desk, like Richard Gaisford has several times. No Tweets I know of, telling anyone who.

EDIT: Shame they couldn't do like GMTV did last year Emma & Kate together
