That is a peak, peaks are always used for spin , i guess in the same way an average is used by newspaper spin. Either way averages of an episode is what is reported usually by BARB and Erron is only using peak to spin.

I still think it's a better representation of the viewers than the average for a breakfast show, because usually you don't watch the entire show, just for about 15 minutes before work.

And that's fine, but then you have to compare it to both the GMTV's and Breakfast's 'peak' figures. No good comparing the 1.2 million peak to Breakfast's 1.5 million average...

This is correct. The 800,000 viewers the papers keep harking about is the average. Most days from around 7.25 Daybreak is getting a minimum of 1 million viewers.

Which 'Chav School of Maths' did you attend? Shocked

The programme is 06:00-08:30. You can't pick and choose a 5 minute slot that suits you.

Advertisers want a sustained market reach for their dosh, not a promise or an illusion. 'Daybreak' isn't delivering, so they will stop paying (or ask for a refund) which is what's worrying ITV.

BBC Breakfast have just shown a review of "Morning Glory" which is an American film about a presenter who wants to leave a failing programme, called "Daybreak". Laughing

I still say Christine needs to go, sooner rather than later and Tasmin too.

Rebrand as ITV Breakfast presented as an ITV News Programme in the same set and it will be much better.

Intresting that David Arnold composed the score, it's very good (on the official website, lots of clips of it)

Can you imagine how many panels it would take to brighten up the ITV News set? Shocked

It would still be better if it was ITV News.

As much as there is wrong with Daybreak, that would make it worse. Certainly not "ITV Breakfast".

Please explain.

I don't think getting more newsy would help it at all, the consensus seems to be it needs to be less serious. Using a name with 'Breakfast' in it certainly wouldn't be a great idea

Have they told Adrian to wear jumpers? It looks like they're trying to make him more welcoming for viewers at that time of use morning.
