Looks like someone is listening to me at Daybreak!

Megalomania much?

Razz Well, Y'know!

As for the whole gunfire thing - yes, it was a bit OTT, but I don't see why they have to clap though. It doesn't quite work. As for Adrian asking that girl if she liked Nutella this morning - I'm sure there are LOTS of more important things to ask her, such as "what is her choice of drink in the morning? tea or coffee?".

Good grief.

Where is that gun you mentioned?

I also like the new feature to Tasmin's news bulletins. There is a headlines section which is now acompanied by the headline bed (funnily enough Smile) and the stories were separated by a new logo board, with the word 'News' displayed. This sequence happened twice today and I thought it broke the bulletin up nicely.

I just wish they would bring back the TOTH tag (opening sting after titles). It just seems so lame having the theme tune ending so wimpily without culmination of the extra few seconds of music be played over a long studio shot. It could just be me tho.... Wink

I also liked the tag at the end of the TOTH sequence. Something about it gave it a nice introduction.

I have a copy of the tag and have played it after titles which do go very well, I have no idea what the reason was to drop it.

Would have been pretty awkward if she was allergic to nuts, eh?

Oh, and out of curiousity - About what's the combined time of ad breaks on Daybreak? from 6am through until 8:30? It's for something I'm trying Smile Thanks

The coloured screens seem to have some texture to them now...

Some have the daybreak logo on them (news area) and the other ones in the main seating area seem to have square and rectangle shapes on them

A lot better

Just wish they wouldn't bung the news screens to the right of the video wall when it gets light and they've stopped using them (so untidy, however that's my compulsive tidyness taking grip!)

And while I'm at it, would it not make more sense to swap the news pod with the sports desk? News would be far better with the large flatscreen behind the presenter. When I'm watching, the sports screen never seems to be used to it's full potential

All in all, it's getting a lot better

This is correct. The 800,000 viewers the papers keep harking about is the average. Most days from around 7.25 Daybreak is getting a minimum of 1 million viewers.

Exactly - the newspapers are just having a 'go'. They haven't mentioned Daybreak this week, because they are too busy tring to get Cheryl Cole axed from the X Factor! Lol

That is a peak, peaks are always used for spin , i guess in the same way an average is used by newspaper spin. Either way averages of an episode is what is reported usually by BARB and Erron is only using peak to spin.

I still think it's a better representation of the viewers than the average for a breakfast show, because usually you don't watch the entire show, just for about 15 minutes before work.
