There is still a very distinct GMTV feel surroudning the format. Some items and indeed timings of the items are very similar.
The atmosphere however is very different.

I have to disagree with Ginofish - I thought Kate was much more watchable in her new role

This comment on the link provided by OneTrickPoney amused me.

If you consider this better than GMTV, I think you may need to reassess your life.

I Agree she was more watchable but I just don't think it suits her .

Seven pages of discussion, and no video of the presenters saying anything? The closest thing to video inexplicably fades out before words are spoken and *in the middle* of a camera move?!

Come on chaps. Confused

It's still very lightweight but I wasn't expecting Newsnight. Credit where it's due though they do seem to have trimmed down all the very worst parts of GMTV making it a much more bearable lighter alternative than GMTV was.... if you're looking for that kind of thing.

Wasn't Lorraine supposed to have a studio audience?

Jason only asked for the title sequence. I thought my editing was fine, since it was done in a hurry. Shocked

I was about to upload the first few minutes, but I see that dbl has provided it.

Bring back GMTV! It was just like RISE - very youthful - news reader rubbish - camera work a bit bad - no guests - titles nice - all a bit of a let down really.

Oh nice set and studio - love the back window!!

In what way was it youthfull?

It was quite fresh and stylish but the content didn't seem to be aimed younger, just at the bit more mentally mature.

You must have missed the interview with the man who was prime minister for over a decade.

And the other thing I noticed - no mention of ITV1 in bumper ads or during the show.

I really enjoyed it and glad I awoke to see it in full. I am glad that they alternated the top story, local news felt better, the whole thing was well put together. Lorraine was ok, although not much different from the GMTV with Lorraine or LK Today before it.
