Not HD. Then again it was mainly only the studio stuff that was HD on Daybreak. Lorraine is coming from the Loose Women studio isn't it? So I suppose that makes it harder for them to pre-record her Wednesday and Thursday shows later in the day on Tuesday, like they used to. So she's been forced to do them live all week. Seems to be a big clock theme.

This is weird. itv.com/daybreak now redirects to This Morning.
EDIT: yes, it's been fixed

Very good thread and good views expressed by many on here today.
Well I watched the whole of daybreak and Loraine and I am very impressed.
Adrian - Seemed in his element and was a lot better than his normal grumpy self , he got on with Christine did well during interview with Tony Blair and I think is suited to morning TV.
Christine - Did very well and quickly got settled with the new team and features mixing serious and fun in just the right complex.
Tamsin - Apart from moving her head every 2 seconds did okay and controlled the news well and the news seemed a lot more in detail than GMTV.
What Else Daybreak got right
/ The news is more detailed and in depth than GMTV and its more serious and the show in a whole is more newsy.
/ The Weather graphics are a lot better Lucy just needs to settle.
/ Talking live to correspondents and editors asking appropriate questions.
/ The 5 a Day was good.
/ Daybreakers
/ John Stapleton’s well crafted report.
What Daybreak can Improve on
/ Kate she is just not suited to that role for me.
/ Grannire was bearable on GMTV but she’s terrible in this role.
/ Regional news but that is partly because I don't like the presenter in my region.
/ More Continuity between Tasmin and the presenters.

I caught the first half hour of the show and on the whole was quite impressed. It had quite a nice relaxed, fresh feel to it. Personally I've always found GMTV ghastly, cheesy and smug, so I was quite surprised to find Daybreak quite watchable.
My only criticisms so far are that the set did look rather dark at 6am before the sun had fully risen, something which presumably will get worse as the mornings get darker. Also, I'm not a fan of the '5 a day' feature. I just don't think viewers really care about those kind of gimmicks. I also think it's a real shame they kept the premium-rate competitions.
I can't see me switching permanently from BBC Breakfast, but I'd certainly be more inclined to flick over when Breakfast is doing something which doesn't interest me.

The premium rate competitions is just away to earn revernu so I could never rellay see them going.
The 5 day i think is okay and Sky News do similar things as did GMTV with coming up , website etc.
Phil Rae Smith seems good in his new role and it does seem to have some traits like the one show for example the correpsondents on the sofa after the report to talk more about the story.
I Also liked the live camreas .
