ITV getting desparate.

Christine making an appearance on Harry Hill tonight.

Won't getting me switching from Bill, Sian & co!

If you watched the whole segment you would know it was because the model who shows what to do in The Cube looks like Christine and Harry referred to her as Christine.

How do you know he didn't watch the whole segment? Confused

Kate Garraway covering Lorraine for the whole w/c 25th October. I wonder are ITV wishing they had kept her on screen as a main presenter?

I wonder how well Kate would score if she were to take over "Lorraine", with Lorraine heading up Daybreak? Kate returning to Daybreak would make the most sense, though.

I doubt it had anything to do with ITV. Avalon on the other hand.....

It lasted a year, which is longer than I would give Daybreak!

Daybreak will last longer than a year.... but Daybreak in it's current incarnation probably won't

Hmm - or could equally be Avalon...

Harry Hill is an Avalon production, and Harry Hill is represented by Avalon Talent management.

Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley are also represented by Avalon Talent management...

What a coincidence... (Knitted character also appeared on The One Show when Adrian presented it - one of the few BBC shows to feature it)

It did seem a bit of a shoe-horned appearance. I don't think anyone has ever thought that the person that demonstrates The Cube challenges looks like Christine...

After reading what the majority of people are saying on here, but I must be in a minority that does like Daybreak, granted the show is far from perfect, and Adrian and Christine do seem to laugh or go off topic a lot considering it's supposed to be a News based programme, I was never a fan of GMTV in the last few years, I wasn't keen on the likes of Kate Garraway, Andrew Castle, Ben Shephard and Penny Smith, it felt quite a mum-sy show for my liking.

And I cannot abide BBC Breakfast, its really dull looking and has quite a smug feeling to it, whenever I see Chris Hollins on I immediately switch over, granted in its editorial approach it is better than what ITV will probably offer, ever.

Daybreak needs some fixing and it cannot be an immediate success overnight, ITV are in this for the long term, its their first chance for them to produce an ITV breakfast show, where as for the last 27 years its always been what another company has put on instead, which they had no overall control over.

It was painful. It felt like Harry was told to find something to involve Christine. The plugs for Daybreak were unnecessary.

Why they think this will improve viewer ratings I'll never know.

Painful ? Was barely a plug for Daybreak was there ?

Looked like a laugh to me and fitted with the item, and the context of the show. Some people need to lighten up.

I'm glad somebody else has said it.

Everyone seems to be slating the programme for one thing or another.

I personally am enjoying the show for the lighter side of things, not too in depth, and not too 'mum-sy' as you put it nwtw2003.
I don't know about anybody else, but I prefer to wake up to something entertaining & to put a smile on my face whilst giving me the stories that are happening in the world.

In an ideal world I'd prefer to have The Big Breakfast back on the TV, but at the moment Daybreak is getting good at what it is doing, and I hope that it doesn't go more news orientated, if I wanted news stuffed down my neck I would watch Breakfast.
