Who does the sport then if Dan Lobb is on main presenting duties ? Or does he do the lot ?

Good Question, I have looked about with no luck. I don't think Kate has to be covered as Steve can continue her on screen role. But Dan should be replaced, otherwise it shows the programme doesn't need dedicated presenters for news & sport

Maybe Nick Dixon or one of the reporters/corespondents will do it, they may even link to the ITV News Sports Editor.

By the way, anyone seen John Stapleton? Saw him on the first show and not seen him since!

1. They will never link to the 'ITV News Sports Centre', anyone there at that time?

2. Nick Dixon wouldn't be suitable but it will have to be trial and error I suppose, I can't think who else.

3. John Stapleton is Special Correspondent. On the road when required no on a regular basis. He'll only present if Dan Lobb or even Steve Hargrave is not available I reckon.

Is there such a thing as the 'ITV News Sports Centre'?

There's plenty of sports reporters (freelance or from parts of ITV) around who they can recruit to fill in if need be

I assumed ITV Sports, as in some sort of Operation for Sporting events/News would exist.
I haven't made it up, just quoted it from another post

I agree freelance or other parts of ITV could be recruited, but would take away the 'recognisable faces'

1. Maybe they'll get someone in!
2. Why is Nick Dixon not suitable - he can rea an autocue can't he?!
3. Yes, I know what John's role is - obviously nothing "special" has happened, haven't seen him on theroad either. Like I said, haven't seen him since the first show!

Did Christine ever present The One Show without Adrian (or vice-versa)?

Before Adrian left for ITV - they seldom appeared with other co-presenters in recent times.

Rumour has it that they arranged to take time off at the same time so that neither of them would have to present with stand-ins. (And they also are suggested to have arranged it so that Chris Evans never got to be fill-in presenter by co-ordinating their holiday...)

This was after their early experiences presenting WITH stand-ins. I think Adrian presented with Ellie Harrison at least once, and Christine presented with Dom Littlewood and Dan Snow, as well as Andrew Neil, Nicky Campbell and Nick Knowles and possibly also Colin Jackson. Christine had more co-presenters because in 2008 Adrian was overseas for quite a bit of the Euro 2008 football and left for the Beijing Olympics a bit before The One Show came off-air.

On two occasions at least they presented the show solo when the other was stuck at an airport for some reason, and Adrian presented solo in the studio the day before Christine water skied across the Channel.

Once they co-ordinated holiday - the BBC replaced them with pairs of stand-ins (Gloria Hunniford and Gethin Jones, Myleene Klass and John Sergeant were paired together for a week each, and Nicky Campbell, Gabby Logan and Matt Baker all stood in before Adrian and Christine moved on.)

ITV Sport will just be a department that produces their sports programmes, so most of the time; an office. ITN will have a sports desk for their bulletins

So, Kate and Dan are here, and Anglia was late with the opt out back to Daybreak after Alpa threw us back to, Chri-Kate, and -er John... Kate's also doing a strange job of leading into items by going, 'Now, Listen.'

Someone called Gavin on the sports, and prefer how they've done it, with Dan throwing over from the sofa, without the chat of Adrian and Dan.

Kirsty's on the weather, and they've a long flower planter running behind the sofa the guest sits on.

They also appeared to have ditch Daybreakers in favour of, The Daily Daybreaker, same NaT theme, except no voting, and only one.

I didn't think it was done by auto cue - which was why Adrian & Dan 'chatted', I may be wrong.

How did Gavin Ramjaun get on?
