Moving the regional news is a good move because it gives the programme a little more structure. When they had the headlines on the hour and regional news at 10 past/quarter past, there were 5 minutes or so to fill and nothing really to fill them with. I can't help but think they'd be more appropriate at 6.07, 7.07 and 7.32 though. How was the handover to the regions dealt with; did Lucy do it or did they go back to the sofa for a minute or so of filler?

I actually forgot this was happening today, was a bit bemused as to why Daybreak Central Scotland wasn't on at 08.10....
Unsure as to whether it's already been discussed or not.. Phil-Reay Smith left Daybreak in Feb.
Wow! Hadn't noticed he'd not been on for a while. I guess if we're going back to GMTV (looks that way), there's no need for all these Editors. GMTV worked with just the correspondents and reporters and it'll save ITV a bit of money too.
Did Lucy change her skirt today? Before 8.00 her top was pulled down and her skirt appeared to be blue, by 8:30 her top was tucked inside a pink skirt.
I doubt the bulletin at 06:05 will last long. The ratings will be tiny at that time, divide that by however many regions they have these days and they may as well not bother.

Maybe that's the point. Put things like competitions when ratings are high and put regional news when ratings are low. I'm not saying it's right but it's logical.
