What does that mean for the names of the shows? and studios? Will it be Daybreak in Studio 7 then Lorraine in Studio 3, or all in one? And will it be Daybreak or now ITV Breakfast due to the two shows 'merging'?
We know as much as you. What is the point in speculating about a specific studio?

Does anyone know that either. TBH what's in the press isn't confirmed either, but from a trusted source. Don't complicate things
I'm asking? I asked about the name too?

Will the show be called GMLorraine? Will we see Fiona Philips presenting it on Wednesdays? Maybe we'll see a presenter from BBC? Maybe Huw Edwards? Will the programme come from London or will it come from Huddersfield? Or Rotherham? Will the show move to Sky Atlantic?
I'm afraid asking questions like yours and those aren't going to get any answers. Firstly, questions like these need a degree of common sense, and secondly, if someone knew I'm sure they would have told us!

If the media rumours are true, then ITV Breakfast Ltd may have just have saved its bacon.
Lorraine Kelly is a professional and adept presenter, who seems to have managed to adapt to whatever has been required of her through many different production companies: be they Breakfast, regional or minority interest TV channels.
The solution to ITV's presenter problem was perhaps always within their own ranks: being the face of previous C3 breakfast incarnations, Ms Kelly has quite a following and might begin to gather the disaffected former GMTV viewers.
Although I usually watch BBC Breakfast, I do like to have an alternative, and whilst I was soon tired of the original Daybreak team and programme style, I would be prepared to give the show another shot if it was re-vamped with Lorraine Kelly as main presenter.

Isn't it more accurate to say that she just does her thing, completely consistently, while programmes and producers and couches revolve around her?

I think Lorraine could be a potentially good choice as main presenter but for me it's not the presenters it's the content that is the fundamental issue. If ITV are serious about revitalising the format they need to urgently look at the content of the programme.
Daybreak's viewing figures continue to be woeful averaging around 740,000 last week down 70,000 compared to the same week last year. The format is still too lightweigt, weak and incoherent with too many ad breaks and competitions. They need to address this if they have any hope of stopping more viewers turning off the programme.
As discussed on the forum, they could have a GMTV style 'newshour' with Kate Garraway or Helen Fospero alongside John Stapleton between 6 and 7am. Then have the main show with Lorraine and Matt Barbet who would be the best choice of male anchor in my opinion with a focus on news and lifestyle stories. After 8.30am with just Lorraine they could move all the light features with showbiz, celebrity, cooking and competitions to this slot.
However, everybody is entitled to their own opinions. We shall see what happen's over the next few months.

Perhaps, but isn't that equally complimentary of the wide-ranging ability of their talent?

Couches don't have talent, Stu. They're full of stuffing and wrapped in expensive fabric.
Ditto producers.
