That looks like a set used on one of Lorraine's STV shows, maybe "Scotland's Missing Mums", or "Secrets Revealed - DNA Stories", which was originally made for ITV, but later shown on Sky Real Lives and STV.

Reading that article; it sounds a silly! Lorraine won't host Untill 7! First hour male & female journalists, 7am-8:30: Kelly and male journalist with female journalist on news then 8:30-9:25am: Lorraine solo!
They might as well move back to studio 5; bring back penny, john and the like and call it GMTV!

Hmmm I'm kinda with you on that one, however could Matt Barbet be a good choice though? I don't think he would be. Although Chris Hollins' name is getting put around now since he left Breakfast.
Interestingly the new Lorraine story originated in the Mirror by Nicola Methven. She is a pretty reliable tv journalist especially when it comes to Daybreak. She broke that Adrian and Christine were 'moving on'.
I really hope Keir Simmons isn't going to get the co host position

I think the list is pretty uninspiring but I would take Matt anyday over Keir.
Hollins is getting solid work at the BBC [in primetime with Watchdog,The Food Inspectors,The Weather Show].
Would he risk it after what has happened to his former BBC collegues [Kirsty McCabe, Adrian & Christine and Tamsin]? Also his stint as guest host of the One show (before A&C departed) with Louise Minchin was notoriously bad and he has never been asked back to guest host. In comparison Louise seems to be the full time cover presenter for Alex Jones now.

Not really though as the audience share for both shows are usually the same, Daybreak's rating inclucdes the 6 o clock hour which is very poorly watched and drags down the average [this also applies to BBC Breakfast]. The 7.30-8.30am hour of Daybreak usually rates around the same as Lorraine's show and often betters it.
Not a hope in hell
Also doesn't Lorraine take a big break during the Summer. Will they relaunch in say May/June just for her to disappear for a few weeks later?
I'd say the Lorraine story is true as Methven wrote it. A smart move by ITV
as more people watch Lorraine than Daybreak.
She can bring that audience potentially with her. Will she do Fridays though?

If they are true, I'm guessing that they will bring back a news hour, possibly an itv news branded programme, and then run daybreak 7 - 9:25 with Lorraine & tab male host. Maybe they'll agree for the last hour to be solo until she gets to know the person, so that she doesn't lose any of the Lorraine audience because of it.
I'm guessing that it will relaunch in September with a new look, and my guess is that they would keep Kate & Dan on as relief presenters.
I wonder if they'll choose to keep studio 7, and adapt the design to make It based less on the windows, especially for the winter, or if they will move to studio 3 in a modified Lorraine set.

Think of CBS This Morning. 2 journalists present the first hour with a 3rd chat show host joining the program at 8 to lighten the tone. Perhaps this is what Daybreak will utilise?

I think that Lorraine is the perfect choice. She will appeal to the "hassled housewife" as well as retaining her current viewers but potentially get them to switch to ITV from 7am as opposed to 8.30am. I can't see her doing Fridays or the school holidays, as she never has before but at the end of the day, she'll only have to work an extra hour and a half Monday-Thursday and be the face of ITV Breakfast.
Regarding her co-host, I think that all names being touted are not suitable - Lorraine has a cheeky sense if humour but is an experienced journalist and I think the male co-host needs to be the same. It will not happen because of his Sky deal but Eamonn and Lorraine working together would be the perfect match IMO.
