Chiles Is in London on Wed. Night anyway, as Arsenal's game is the pick, but they do have highlights that go on till midnight usually. May well be case of wait and see..

Matt Smith is doing the highlights - and think this week at least Adrian will probably do Daybreak on Thursday too. Listings seem to suggest he will anyway - and ITV are probably too scared that he'll quit in a strop should they offer to get someone to stand in for him.


Haven't Dan and Kate been confirmed as the occasional stand-in presenters? Seem to remember reading that somewhere. Or was I just dreaming that?!


The only evidence we have of this is a twitpic of the gallery during rehearsals which had Kate saying hello and welcome to daybreak with Dan Lobb. However I would imagine that several presenters had rehearsals as the main anchor.

Yep - and for all we know that could have been because they wanted more rehearsals for the crew, and Adrian and Christine weren't available?

IIRC Erron Gordon (Director) on twitter did say Kate and Dan will be covering for Adrian and Christine.

Theres bound to be more than one set of cover presenters supposing Adrian was on champions leauge and Dan was ill or Kate had just covered a big entertainment event the night before and Christine needed cover I Imagine the likes of John , Tamsin , Grainne and Hillary even could be down as occasional cover.

I Think if there off the air at 10 then that will give chance for Adrian to present on thursday including coverage of the Papal visit.

Also I noticed there was no daybreakers or something cool before the kids go to school today.

Don't think Hillary would be a reliever actually. Have never seen him doing piece to camera live before, and certainly not of a breaking news nature.

I assume you are referring to Hillary Jones?

Yer I don't paticuly think hed be wounderful either but if they desperatly needed cover hed probably get it over people like nick dixion or they may have all female presenters . eg . Kate and Christine.

Yes there was, it was a flying thing that can be controlled using an iphone.

WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!

Dr Hillary Jones has never presented anything - he's a doctor who contributes to parts of the show, and they're not about to fling him into that role simply because he's in the building. By that logic they'd use a videotape editor.

For god's sake just stop saying the first thing you think of, its incredibly tiresome and totally unenlightening. Its just an endless stream of wittering with you and I cannot deal with it.

And FYI there are SIX mis-spellings that TV Forum's own spellchecker flags up in your post. What's your excuse this time?

Sorry to step in here but in 1991/92 Hillary presented After Nine on TV-am while Kathy Tayler was on maternity leave. He was not bad at it!
