To be honest that studio doesn't look that nice... the desk looks too high and because there's no visible frames (or that I can see through the quality of the video) it looks like they're literally floating up in the air. It's too dark even for a news programme... although I guess I'm just used to the current ITV Regional News set format (which looked best with the teal colour scheme by the way).

...just used it to show that its dark outside and that the programme was a night time news show!

...except for during the Spring, Summer and Autumn when it wasn't dark at 6.30pm, and in the afternoons, and at lunchtimes all year round when LNN branded the programme London Today. Yes, just like it's shown on the page you conveniently linked to.

What about London Today...?

Which was also not an ITV Breakfast franchise holder, as London Today would have been broadcast around midday, no?

London Today, London Tonight and News Updates from that studio went on throughout the day, from GMTV all the way until the late edition of London Tongiht

I have no **** idea what Mr K is hammering on about but *I think* the gist of his unwieldy assertion is "the studio looked fine with a dark sky backdrop on London Tonight therefore it should similarly on Daybreak".

The clue's really in the names, isn't it.

Yes, we know, but LNN is London News Network, running London Tonight and Today...

...and what I'm saying is that they coped fine without light outside, so why does Daybreak need blinds?

Day. Break. Breakfast TV. Warm. Fuzzy. Cheery. Bright.

News. Evening. Dark. Outside.

It looks like this in the dark, this was launch day (courtesy of TV-ARK). Fact of the matter is, the reflections are there!
