Well after watching the first week of Daybreak here is my Assessment

[ b]Presentation[/b]
/ Idents are good - a lot more exciting than the gmtv ones
/ Promo's are good
/ The presentation style is good it mixes both informal and formal in the perfect balance.
/ The Website is more detailed than expected it to be and the Daybreak Emails also are at a high standard.

Presenters and Reporters
Adrian - He seems a lot more relaxed and ungrumpy he seems in his element in this time slot and asks the perfect questions in interview has good chemistry with Christine , Dan and Kate as well as the guests.

Christine- She needs to work on her interview technique and at times can ask stupid questions as well as laughing uncontrolbly at times apart from those minor floors shes done well and has brought her good partnership with chiles on to the show.

Kate- Kate has improved as the week has went on in this new role she is more watchable and natural shes done rellay well and is an asset to daybreak for when Christine is unavalible.

Tamsin- She has come in for some criticism on this forum but on the whole has been very impressive asking the right questions to correspondents and bringing us the news in a good way.

Granire - For me she is not suited to her role as features editor the stories she has reported on are good but the way she has reported them is not I think daybreak should retain her but in what role I am not sure.

You could have just said, "I reeeeeeally like it" and that would have sufficed, given that that's about how much weight your opinion really holds (especially your vendetta against Grainne... that last point makes no sense. Mind, it was never going to, was it).

crikey ginofish, you sound like your writing an ofstead report Confused

does Daybreak gets:

Grade 1 for Outstanding
Grade 2 for Good
Grade 3 for Satisfactory
or Grade 4 for Inadequate

or do you think ITV should implement special measure Shocked

who was the one who called Tony Blair the prime minister on the first show, quite a classic cock up that

anyway my relevent question is what are they doing over Christmas, will they do pre-records or what

pre recording with a live view may be a bit tricky, saying it's 6am on December 25th when it's daylight outside would look odd

Grade 1 Very Happy

Also I dont have an vendetta against Granire she just is not suited to that role and is a better presenter than reporter.

All this talk about 'Ofstead' - anyone would think you work in a school!

They'd soon realise you didn't, however, once they saw the poor spelling and punctuation in your posts.

that glass info is interesting, I thought the panels would cover the whole window when it's dark outside otherwise it's going to reflect the entire studio, just like on This Morning when it's a dull day outside

What poor spelling would that be then?

My punctuation isn't that bad either, I'm just too lazy to use it properly to be honest.

You obviously don't work in a school if you think all Teacher's have perfect spelling, grammar and punctuation. Wink

I do work in a school but I'm not a teacher.

I think this article from Media Week makes a few interesting points about Daybreak.

Do we know exactly what is going to happen when Adrian is on Champions League duty? Dan or John to fill in on Thursday?

Chiles Is in London on Wed. Night anyway, as Arsenal's game is the pick, but they do have highlights that go on till midnight usually. May well be case of wait and see..

Didn't they use the GMTV studio for Champions League?
