How can North of Scotland and Central Scotland broadcast at the same time with the same presenter?

One of them is most probably pre-recorded.

Either that or he's an incredibly skilled multi-tasker. Rolling Eyes

Also what's going on with that sofa, it looks awful.

Don't watch so can't judge the content or presenting style but it's visibly better graphically. Going for a non-traditional colour in purple was a brave and correct move but it required far stronger, more imaginative OSGs to pull it off; the cliché reds and oranges have saved it.

The logo's still an ugly block of a thing. Incidentally, if they're continuing to use it translucently they should really make it a warmer shade of yellow/orange; "piss yellow" exactly.

Looking at the coverage on TV Live, the studio looks a lot nicer this morning too. Not a lot of changes but some orange cushions and getting rid of the clutter makes it feel a lot warmer and cosier whilst the blinds are down. I still think a sofa with a lower back is needed though, to show off that excellent view they have in the daytime instead of hiding it.

It certainly looks a lot warmer and makes the yellow backdrop look slightly less hideous. Still a lot of work to do though. I struggled to read the wording daybreak on the clock logo as well due to the white font.

Hmmm... the logo in the Aston is going to be illegible on small tv screens.

Absolutely. I could hardly read it on my small 20" TV this morning. They clash far too much for me as well.

I wasn't too sure about the studio this morning, it all seemed to be a bit too much of the same colour. Not a fan of the logo in that colour either, I expected it to be hard to read. White on yellow is always going to be hard, and people can have their brightness settings at different levels so for some it may seem fine, others it will be harder to see.

But then how were they to know that white on yellow for a logo would cause this problem, not as if ITV1 previously had a white on yellow logo and changed it to black on yellow... oh whoops.

I actually like the new colour scheme. When I first saw the mustard colored logo I thought it looked awful but the on air graphics looked really smart and nice, I personally prefer them to the purple.

I really like the new graphics, I'm glad they're not all yellow. You've got some orange shades in too, bright orange, burnt orange etc. All looks very nice, much more welcoming than the purple actually (which I was quite a fan of).

I'm glad they've stopped using the video wall in the 6am hour, I never liked it. The main sofa area is really nice so they should use that just as much as they do in the 7/8am hour. They could always recolour the yellow blinds a nice soft orange/peach colour, that could look less harsh...

Hopefully we can look forward to some editorial and content changes soon, with Kermode now in the job.

I do like the yellow logo as opposed to the purple though - thinks this looks really good.

Its awful why go for yellow with white text its absolutely shocking, the show dosen't look any different either i hope it gets the chop.

I tweeted Daybreak director Erron Gordon earlier...

"Will there be more changes to come to @Daybreak , can't help thinking changing the purple will do much to help on its own, I loved the original set, the purple, the modernity of it all, it now looks dare I say rather GMTV Sad hope the new presenters bring new direction to the show, less sponsors, comps and celebrities. Hope you don't mind my views"

and his reply...

"...not at all. Keep watching and I'm sure you won't be disappointed this year."

"I'll hold you to that, are you giving anthing else away? Hope that clock's fixed now, perhaps the colour change was a bit too much!" was my last message..,

Personally I think the purple on yellow would work better!
