Just a thought... keep bandying names around and you're sure to predict the right one eventually.
Just a thought, does anyone think Nina Hossain could be a shout to replace Christine on the sofa?
I would prefer Helen but I think Nina would be quite good.

An Emma Crosby come back do we reckon? She was a journalist after all. Daybreak/ITV management may possibly regret getting rid of her last year now. I know she was criticised for her style, but her journalist background did come across well sometimes.

Nina did cover for Lorraine of course, although I'm not so sure that she'd want to be away from her children, aren't they quite young?
Andrea Catherwood was on 'In The Mix' last week, she'd be quite good I think, she has the right balance, a little like Sian Williams.

I wonder if this is because there are "significant" set changes taking place possibly? There was rumour that this would occur September but was then postponed to the new year.
It will be interesting to see if the implement the 'significant set changes' in the new year that were supposed to occur in September. I cannot blame ITV for not showing Daybreak between 26th and 30th of December as a result of the show's dire ratings of 300,000. Considering the negative publicity it would create it would be cheaper showing CITV during that slot.
According to broadcast, Daybreak's Deputy Editor Paul Connolly is to leave with immediate effect. He was responsible to editorial output after Ian Rumsey left in September. Apparently production staff were informed by e-mail that he was sacked from the post by new editor David Kermorde. The article said Kermode would announce his Deputy Editor in the next few days. It also says the new editor is currently looking at the whole shape of the programme. This could be an encouraging sign that in terms of content and format there could be major changes for the better.
As for new presenters, the article suggests the presenting configurations are being mulled over, but decision is still to be made. An announcement is expected at the New Year on who will replace Adrian and Christine as new anchors.

Worth noting between the 26th and the 30th there's no Daybreak and Lorraine at all in the morning, which is unlike last year it was on nearly everyday and got trounced in the ratings. CITV and a film occupies the 6-9.25am slot all week.

And Tuesday's then it's back to Dan for the rest of the week
Just looked on the EPG and saw that John Stapleton will be presenting this mornings show with Kate Garraway.
