It would have been nice to see a bit more, especially as it is well known that they're leaving after press reports, but at least they mentioned it, and didn't let them fade out, and not tell the audience.
As for Christmas, the studio looks very nice, though I miss the GMTV way of changing titles, graphics & theme tune for Christmas alternatives.
I think we should have seen them receiving them flowers on air, would have been a nice touch and they deserved a montage of their time presenting the show, too.
I am going to miss them in a way, more so Christine than Adrian and I do feel that it's unfair that they've both been blamed for the failure of the show. It was always going to fail regardless of the presenters.

I totally agree, but as the faces of the programme, they are being used as scapegoats.
I wonder of the decision was to get rid of them both, as many have said that Christine was better with dan. Maybe they chose to start totally afresh, and hopefully it would improve. I can only think of one breakfast programme, The Big Breakfast, that worked with their launch format & presenters, usually either one or the other changes, or most times, both.

I absolutely agree, I thought they should have showed a montage of their time presenting the programme. They did after all launch the show. I will miss both Adrian and Christine presenting the show, however as I've always said its not the presenters it's the the format that is the problem. They seriously need to look at the content of the show before appointing replacements. If they do not change the content or go to far down the showbiz entertainment route as some papers suggested ratings will decline sharply and Daybreak will become more unpopular.
I think that improving Daybreak's performance will take place over the long term. Even when new presenters are found it will take many months for things to start improving.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes to appoint the new presenters. At the moment, Natasha Kaplinsky and Eamonn Holmes are apparently the frontrunners even though she has ruled herself and he has signed a 3 year contract with Sky News.
