Daybreak - the launch onwards

Dan has said on Twitter that he know as much as the viewers at the moment. I do actually believe that.

I think ITV should look at bringing BBC Radio 5's Nicky Campbell back home to host a Audience discussion/phone in programme 'Nicky Campbell LIVE'. I feel his show seems to fit ITV more than the BBC...

I didn't see it all, but from what I did see they all appeared to be talking to Adrian about what they're looking forward to and rumours including cheggers.

Well if it's the same as with Holly the only time they'll ever talk to Christine is when they express their "shock" at whoever is in the bottom two. I think it's the only time all show Holly ever talked to them.

Sian to move to Daybreak??? Surely this is nonsense? She's not going to go head to head with Bill??

John Stapleton presenting with Christine! It's been a while.....

Yes they did talk about her joining the show, saying she was excited. They also wished Holly good luck for the future.

Why are the cuts to and from the local news so clunky? Even in London? It's 2011!

Considering that article basically just says ITV have approached Sian I think it's probably true, but I very much doubt she will jump ship.

I would happily see Penny Smith return to breakfast TV. She made GMTV for me. Her and Eamonn would provide a brilliant mix of serious journalists who can deal with lighter stuff.

It was really good to see John Stapleton present Daybreak alongside Christine today. I thought they had very good chemistry and Christine came across much more professional. I think whatever happen's with the presenting line up after the New Year, John Stapleton should be given a more significant role. I know some will want to move away from the GMTV days but he is a very experienced presenter that can bring gravitas to the programme (although everybody to their own opinions).

I thought John Stapleton looked a bit uncomfortable, as if he's looking on thinking "why do I work with these people?"

But then he started talking, and wouldn't let anyone speak over him. I'm sure that during the link just before the break after TV Matters, Christine didn't say anything after John started talking about the Frank Skinner George Formby documentary.

I disagree with the chemistry, everytime Christine tried to talk further about any subject, or when she talked to him directly, he seemed to hastily wrap her up and move on, unless of course he was being told to.
Even though I disagree with the chemistry, I did think it was nice to see him, and he brought some gravitas to daybreak.
