Daybreak - the launch onwards

Hasn't it pretty much always been the case with breakfast TV on the BBC and ITV certainly that you basically get dumber as the morning goes on - so start with the hard news and end with the entertainment fluff.

It's simple.

Bring back ITN presentation between 6 & 830am, with regular regional news bulletins, not half arsed like now.

(How did, on the old News Channel, the 7 till 9 slot do ratings wise, as ISTR it was live bulletins with GMTV reporters being used?)

830, ditch Lorraine(prefably in the nearest Loch, but that's my opinion!) & have a discussion show like the Wright Stuff, until 925am, so it won't upset UTV & STV as it's ITV time!

Ditch the one part of the block that remains buoyant in the ratings? Reeto.

It's 'buoyant', even though she's never there(it appears!).

I'll concur, as I'm at work when it's on anyway.

She's there most weeks, Monday - Thursday just as she has been for over a decade.

Everytime I switch on it's either Kate Garraway or Emma Bunton presenting.

Apparently Natasha Kaplinsky and Eamonn Holmes have been approached for Daybreak..

As Adrian is on today, has he/anyone mentioned Saturday's headlines?

Well I doubt that as in one of the articles it said that they would go for relatively unknowns and they are the highest profile presenters on TV

How is Emma Bunton as a presenter? Have never seen her presenting a tv program before.

Emma Bunton has only prestened Lorraine once. She seemed quite nervous presenting. I would like to see either Fiona Phillips, Nadia Sawalha or Helen Fospero become the permanent Friday presenter.
