'You can't go ten minutes without adverts, sponsorship, etc', Daybreak don't have adverts in the 6-8am hours anymore, do they? They certainly didn't at the beginning of September.
Yes, they're back.. that lasted about two weeks.
It was between 6 and 7 anyway wasn't it?
I just presumed that Critique hit the 8 key rather than the 7 key accidentally.

Indeed, you're quite right. I'd blame chubby fingers, but I don't have them...
Chiles “angry over leaking of his and Christine Bleakley's sackings
ADRIAN Chiles has told of his dismay at leaked news of his and Christine Bleakley’s sackings from Daybreak.
ITV’s breakfast show flops were hauled in by bosses on Monday and told they were no longer wanted after ratings failed to rise.
And Chiles, 44, yesterday declared he was “p****d off” that an agreement to keep their axing under wraps had been broken.
He said: “I’m angry, upset and acutely embarrassed. Myself and Christine were told we would be going in the New Year but we were assured we could go with our dignity intact.
“That’s obviously not happened. We were enjoying the show and we thought things were going well. We didn’t want to go.
“It was a bolt out of the blue and has come as a big blow to our careers that we’ve been dumped at this time. Dark forces have leaked it for their own ends and I am mightily unhappy about it.”
Bleakley, 32, was also left stunned when she read they had been fired in our sister newspaper the Daily Mirror yesterday morning.
She wrote on her Twitter page: “Morning, what a lovely headline to wake up to. My sarcasm comes across in this tweet I hope x”
The ex-One Show duo were poached from the BBC last year with golden handcuffs deals of £1.5million a year each.
But during their time on the sofa, Daybreak has struggled to attract ratings of 700,000 – half of what their BBC Breakfast rival pulls in and advertisers were said to be deserting in their droves. The sacked pair will now be expecting substantial compensation for the abrupt ending of their contracts.
Although Chiles will continue to host ITV’s Champions League football coverage and his successful Sunday night chat show, he is likely to take a huge wage cut – which will come as a blow after his divorce from Radio 4 Woman’s Hour presenter Jane Garvey, 47.
West Brom fan Chiles at least found something to smile about yesterday as he watched his team beat Bolton 2-1 at home and he stressed he would try to put the major setback in his television career behind him.
He added: “I’m lucky I enjoy what I do – and I wish Christine all the best in her future career. We’ve had a great time together.”
Bleakley, who is engaged to Chelsea and England star Frank Lampard, 33, had hoped to put a positive spin on the news.
She will host ITV’s Dancing on Ice next year in place of Holly Willoughby, 30, who will present BBC talent show The Voice. In another tweet for fans, Bleakley said: “Thank you so much for all your Dancing on Ice good luck messages xx.”
ITV bosses now hope to strike deals with Chiles and Bleakley to make sure they do not claim more than £500,000 each in severance pay-outs.
ITV said: “As well as being the main presenters of Daybreak, Adrian and Christine are important members of the ITV family, with Adrian presenting ITV1 football coverage as well as That Sunday Night Show, and Christine joining Phillip Schofield in the New Year as co-host of Dancing On Ice.”
I've read today (I know there are lots of conflicting stories at the moment) that exec producer Karl Newton wants to make Daybreak a big entertainment/celeb show - completely different to Breakfast. Big mistake IMO, that's not what people want in the morning. They need to make Daybreak what they promised us it would be.

So from The One Show at 6am to... um... OKTV at 6am?
I don't think they really have a clue what to do with it - in reality it's a bland middle of the road uncomfortable mixture of them both which is probably their best shot.

People want to wake up in the morning and find out what's happening in the world, not whether Katie Price has bought a new horse. Big mistake. People on the forum have been saying that as it's getting newsier, it's getting better. This is what people want.. not a celebrity, showbiz programme as they sip their morning coffee.

I absolutely agree people want to know the news, sport and weather. They are not really interested in Z list celebrities. That is Daybreak's fundamental problem along with these repetitive competitions and constant sponsorship adverts. I would have to say that the content has improved the programme is much more newsier compared to earlier this year. But, as I've said before there needs to be much more improvement in terms of content. On the big news days such as the death of Osama Bin Laden and the Riots this year that Daybreak can produce very good coverage.
If David Kermode and the other producers are serious about revitalising the format they need to strategically place advert breaks much more effectively, they have to ditch the competitions once and for all (even though they would loose money) and they need to have more regular news updates (similar to 5 a day) instead of the main two headlines, as well as transfering most celebrity and showbiz items to Lorraine's show. GMTV in its heyday use to achieve the right balance before it went downhill, however Daybreak has to try to get the right balance.
Also in terms of possible replacements for Adrian or Christine, I do not think bringing in Sian Williams or Chris Hollins will make any real difference even though they are credible broadcasters (however everybody to their own opinions). I would like to see someone like Helen Fospero given the anchor role because of her experience and familiarity with the audience. However, I suspect in the months running up to April we are probably going to see a number of different presenting duo's.
I've not seen that much of Daybreak since it started but from what I've read here, it seems it is merely part of what I would call a wider problem at ITV: they are completely celebrity obsessed. I know the BBC and Channel 5 can be blamed for this as well but ITV seems the worst. GMTV used to be a really good programme in the 1990s, in fact it was our preferred breakfast service then, at a time when BBC Breakfast News was incredibly serious and staid. It worked because it was mostly news-based with a peppering of celebrity and showbiz features. Daybreak doesn't seem to be able to find the right balance, which BBC Breakfast most certainly has.
As for ITV in general, there are numerous programmes that I used to enjoy but have since stopped watching because they became celebrity obsessed. This Morning is a prime example. Since Holly came on board the level of celebrity coverage seems to have exploded. In the Richard and Judy days, TM had a wonderful mix of features every day. Then there are the gameshows like Family Fortunes. I applauded ITV for bringing it back but why does it have to be limited to "celebrities"? FF was far funnier with real people during the Les Dennis era.
I think it's hard to say exactly where this all started. I'd probably say with Big Brother and then the avalanche of celebrity-based reality shows. ITV seems to think that everyone loves celebrities and can't wait to follow their every move. In my experience, most people can't be bothered. At work this year I've not heard one person talk about X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing or I'm a Celebrity. I'm praying that the tide is beginning to turn.
