Daybreak - the launch onwards

He hosted a weeks worth of The Wright Stuff in spring and he was the best fill in I'd seen on the show, shame they haven't used him since then. On a similar note Penny Smith hosted a couple of editions of LIVE with Gabby last week, and as much as I don't mind Penny good god it was awful to watch.

It was a shame to see Christine presenting today, I have enjoyed the pairing of Dan and Lucy the past two days.

On the rare occasion I watch Daybreak I hope it isn't Christine and/or Adrian presenting. Kate Garraway, Dan Lobb and others are much better and much nicer to watch. No chance of them going though considing the big sum ITV has shelled out on them.

Tune into Daybreak next Friday to see a familiar face.

Who are they using as Wrighty's cover then? Not Hardeep Singh Kolhi surely? Is he supposed to be a comedian? I've had funnier visits to the dentists!

Supposedly, it's Dan Lobb and Helen Fospero on the sofa next Friday. Interesting pairing, if it's true, and one that I'll welcome!

It's getting like GMTV in it's last few months. You don't know who's going to be on.

I absolutely agree. I really like her when she guest present's Lorraine Show on Fridays. Why she was never kept on initially I will never know. I 've also liked Lucy presenting this week she seems much more confident and relaxed, and has very good chemistry with Dan. I don't mind seeing Christine presenting the show but as I've said she presents much better with Dan. The past few weeks again have seen different presenter pairings with Adrian presenting football coverage we hardly ever see Adrian and Christine together.

Also as it is half term week ratings are down again averaging 580,000 - 600,000 during the week with a 17% share of the audience. At least on a positive there up from the lows of 530,000 in the same week last year. I think the news content of programme can be improved and it will be interesting to see what happens under David Kermode's editorial leadership.

Just a little (and useless) spot I made this week, it seems Lucy sits to read the news, whereas Tasmin stands. now how about that for trivia!

I really like Lucy on the sofa at the moment, just not reading the news. She is definitely warming to me on the sofa.

But for now I'm really looking forward to seeing Helen on the sofa. I remember back when Adrian was first signed to present GMTV and Helen was in the frame to be his co-presenter!
