Daybreak - the launch onwards

Keir Simmons back again today, not much chemistry between him and Kate. He did make a joke about her being a drag queen and she said, "only your second week and it's started already". Does this mean Keir and Friday's is a permanent thing?

Keir is like watching paint dry, and I'm not even joking.

It most likely is, while Dan's on Strictly at least. Surprised they never use old Stapleton.

Looks like Dan will be back in the studio this week.

He was presenting on Friday.

For anyone interested (maybe Gavin), Marie-Clair Munro (nee McManus) popped up on the Daybreak Scottish News bulletins yesterday morning.
AFAIK, she was last on TV around 2004/5, on early morning Scotland Today bulletins.

Is she really the same lady as before? Looks and sounds much different. I fully agree, Gavin: she has a lovely voice.

I think I may have been fairly critical of her years ago. Blushes.

She's like a fine wine and improves immensely with age. We bumped into each other a couple of years ago and she's looking better than I've ever seen her.

Yesterday's show was the last one that Ian Rumsey edited. Will be interesting to see if and how the content of the show changes over the next few weeks.

Technically GMTV I suppose (but really cannot be bothered trawling through pages of the forum to find the thread) but I've just seen Andrew Castle on an Injury Lawyers 4 You advert. Life's going well for him post-GMTV....

Indeed, and that's been going for quite some time.

However, he was a commentator at Wimbledon, as per usual, etc.
