The question I don't think anybody has asked - will Lorraine's graphics change also?

No

won't it look a bit of a mess then when they cross over at 8:30 because at the minute it doesn't look to bad with just the logo that changes. but from monday it will just look a mess

Oh, here we go again...

In relation to the graphics, Daybreak and Lorraine will seem slightly more like their own shows from Monday, then? They'll have differing graphics, and Daybreak now has an actual close at 8:30?

You don't even know in what way the graphics are changing, the clock and aston set may not change at all. So you can't say (in your trademark pigeon English) "but from monday it will just look a mess" without knowing HOW they're changing them.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one thinking that we were getting more from these new graphics..

Two-way graphic has changed to get rid of the perspective on the two boxes, plus the standard purple background has been replaced by the graphic used on the video wall. Anything else?

The purple box logo and blue/yellow background really don't go together. They need to properly change the graphics for more consistency.

A really nice camera angle on the news at 7am I think, started with shot of sofa in the background, panning gradually to Tasmin at news area. Really good shot.

Also, have they made the font bigger on the LIVE strap? That's something else I've noticed. Not even gonna mention the transition into and from the caption to the weather... Like some crap fold with a feather effect.

Na'good!

I think the weather transition is the same, but it looks very dodgy with the bright blur & yellow background rather than the pale lilacs. The same can be said about the end of the weather summary screen & also the competition. They don't gel well together. I do like the background on split screens that seems different to those on the wall/screens, where everything is blurred, and it's a generic cityscape at the bottom that scrolls with the sun shining between.

The second wall was back, and looked very nice, I like the purple lit holes, that have also been replicated on the right hand side. And from wide shots, with the walls, the big red sofa & rug now in place, it did look very cosy next to the window backdrop. I'm just praying that they don't use those bright yellow blinds this year.

And I agree with the 7am pan to the news area. They did a similar thing at 6 from the alternative area, showing the sports desk & the news desk in the distance.

They're interesting changes, but not sure that they work well.

It's as if they've smashed two disparate looks together. Doesn't work, either stick with the purple and utilise complementary hues elsewhere or ditch it and start again.

You probably spent most of your time adding a caption to say you captured it. What do you think people are going to do with these images which are readily available on ITV Player (as you said) that makes you need to 'copyright' it?

Perhaps he was actually moaning about the fact that you have to watch all the adverts before you're able to jump to particular points in the programme.

At least 'watchingtv' has spared us the adverts with his captures. Wink
