Newsmonkey, presumably these percentage shares are measured against the total available audience at the time? Just wondering what other channels are being watched by the remaining share ?
Do we know what Sky's Sunrise gets?

There has been confuzion over the last couple of pages of how the ratings work basicly the broadcasters jointly own BARB (BBC,ITV,Five, BSKYB and C4 ) If your woundering why the nice people at BARB Havent ask you recently what you have been watchng , then that is because they monitor a sample of about 5000 Households.
The sample households are chosen to reflect the mix ages, gender , race and income against the viewing public in the UK. using the information collected by BARB Broadcasters can build up a audience profile telling them who watches what programme.
BARB - Broadcasters Audience Research Board.

I have a sneaky feeling a lot of people on here are aware of BARB, considering the love of TV presentation and the rest.

I know but if you look back over the last few pages some people don't so no harm in explaining how it works for them.

Quite. No "confuzion" [sic] on this board.
Ginofish - you're an expert on hee-haw, my dear.

I think James may just have had a seizure and punched his computer screen.

To be fair to ginofish...
Not sure how it is possible to watch GMTV illegally unless it is without a TV license and I'm not sure what watching on a CRT has to do with ratings either.

Also - how can ratings for breakfast television work, especially GMTV? Their core audience was fairly unlikely to have the boxes on their tellies, more a makeshift aerial and a clapped out CRT overscan machine. That's why their figures might seem a bit skew-wiff compared to a programme more upmarket demographic maybe?
Ah I think you've missed my point (although given a very valid one yourself) are GMTV's ex-demographic likely to have been included in BARB ratings? I hate to say it but their core audience was probably watching illegally, or at least wouldn't be interested in BARB...

I don't rellay care for your stupid sarcastic comments and I think you will find your breaking the forum rules as well as being very Immature.
Now to get the topic back to Daybreak i thought that todays show was very good and someone said earlier in the thread that it lacks warmth no it does not Ac + Cb have a very good chemistry together and bring this warmness on screen.
But someone get Miss Sieoge off daybreak she is awful I just feel like switching over when I watch her reports as a presenter she is bareable but as a reporter she is dreadful.
Tamsin is also getting better she didant fluff any lines when i seen her today and asked good questions in a live up with richard gaitsford and I think she will do very well.

Quite - and why would BARB include unlicensed viewers in their survey (it's licence for the singular noun, and licensed for the verb)? Hence the clapped out CRT second hand tv with aerial stuck on it - a makeshift tv. Certainly what we had in my halls anyway. Not that I was watching illegally at university.
Anyway, I've had it with all the BARBed comments on here....
