However, it is interesting that on the first anniversary of the show Kate Garraway and Dan Lobb will be presenting with the programme on the 6th September. This could be due to both Adrian and Christine being unavailible to present. I don't know if that has anything to do with the broadcasting from Australia.

Or that they have been quietly axed!

I think that if they wanted to lessen the burden Christine and Adrian have on Daybreak, they'll continue to lessen their days on the show, like Adrian not doing a Friday. Instead of the headlines 'Adrian and Christine get axed', I think they'll quietly decrease the number of days they do.

Hate to go into details about who is presenting when but it seems:

Mon- Adrian & Kate
Tues- Dan & Kate
Weds- Adrian & Kate
Thurs- Adrian & Christine
Fri- Dan & Kate

Lorraine is off air next week due to Rugby World Cup. From September you'd expect it to be a bit more structured and its become the same messy situation that ITV felt was a problem with GMTV, who are the main faces and who is presenting when?

Nice mix up. My EPG shows Lorraine is on air Monday and Tuesday

How can Adrian and Christine have so many holidays? Presumably they've taken the holidays they're contracted to, perhaps taking extra holidays and not getting paid?

Also, with all the money they are on, ITV really aren't getting very good use of them. Christine has no career outside the show, and Adrian does most of the little football ITV has. ITV are stupid when it comes to value for money, and fundamentally money altogether.

Sorry, I meant next Friday, probably the reason why they have Kate on Fridays Daybreak. They ought to make Lorraine present the Friday show anyway, just pre-record it in the week and don't do the newspaper review at the start.

Adrian also has That Sunday Night show. What happened to Christine's Control game show?

I forgot about that. For Christine show, it was never commissioned. Or at least, we haven't heard anything about it for about 6 months. Even still...

TV isn't like real jobs where you need to get 37 hours a week out of them. Many top presenters appear on air very little. You can go 6 months without seeing Ant & Dec. Jonathan Ross was on air once a week.

Doing Daybreak and ITV Football is much more than a lot of presenters do.

I don't really get your logic. It is branded as 'their' show, they are the main presenters of the programme, and as such they should be presenting it, especially since they have seemingly little else to do. You can't compare the jobs of news presenters with the likes of Ant and Dec, who clearly can't have an entertainment show on every day, whereas Daybreak is on Mon-Fri.

I think a vague comparison is being drawn to Phillip Schofield & Holly Willoughby who, whilst working 4 days a week on This Morning, have a lot of work outside This Morning. Adrian is fine, but they desperately need to find Christine something else. There isn't much that would suit her on ITV1 and she isn't really ITV2 material. Maybe ITV could try an 'It Takes Two' style show when Dancing on Ice returns but other than that they'll have to commission entirely new shows. She didn't even have much at the BBC, The One Show, Lets Dance for Comic/Sport Relief and Comic/Sport Relief itself, although she was on air daily and was being paid significantly less, so did as many shows as you would have expected.

Only because they're contracted to do one hour a week for six months. Usually presenters of shows like Daybreak or Breakfast are expected to be on four or five days a week.
