Well for a long time it was used for London Tonight, and this studio seems to look at its best during the nighttime.

It looks great when its dark, its just not appropriate for dark winter mornings. I would like to see ITV News use that studio along with Daybreak, stick a desk in the middle and light it yellow and it will look great whether its daytime or night time.

It would be a mad rush during in the one minute promo-break between ITV Morning News and Daybreak though.

Not to mention the journey from ITN's newsroom...

When something clearly won't happen then its pointless thinking of the logistical issues Wink.

Looking at those amazing pictures, is the Daybreak wall clock covered or removed? Still shows how good and flexible the studio can look.

I think its removed or they didn't show that part, the very subtle lighting means you can actually see the backdrop even when its pitch dark, when Daybreak are in there they have to increase the lighting which meant you couldn't see anything out of the window when it was dark.

If you look carefully at the first picture, you can see that the clock is actually boxed off using the same 'laminate flooring'.

indeed it is, well it looks like Al Jazerra will be using Studio 7 until September at least.

But why are they using ITV's studio?? What's the connection? Shocked

It looks great though.

It's part of the London Studios owned by ITV - I'm sure they'll happily lend their studio to anyone who's willing to pay!

I don't understand why Daybreak can't adapt to a similar style

Why not have the lighting deep purple when it's dark, and have it transitioning to yellow as it get's light?

I still can't believe it's the Daybreak studio.

Is that not Washington?

Because whilst that looks good, it is depressing in the morning which is why they put the blinds down and make the window bright yellow. If it was an evening show they wouldn't go to such lengths to cover up the darkness.
