My thoughts exactly. Shows the demographic they think they're aiming at in the morning!

Must admit I prefer 'Breakfast', to play the game of 'Susannah Reid - Is there anyone at home?' Nice to look at but you wonder about her journalism skills, plus on the odd occasion I'm off, shout abuse at the screen every time Joanne Malin comes on to promote her BBC WM show, but I digress.

Why can't 'Daybreak' line up their captions properly?

Only you could work BBC WM into a thread about Daybreak.

And objectify some women - don't forget that!

Now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1AbwrzD5qo was the Daybreak I enjoyed!
Although the point where Adrian says 'the show is going to be more news driven' wasn't an ethos that lasted very long Smile

Interestingly you bring out Steven Murphy/Trafalgar Media/stedememnmnmnmnmnmnm's fake promo of their work on Daybreak!

I'm not quite sure what you mean Mike! I was looking at some Daybreak clips and this came up as a suggested link Smile

I agree. Watching the stuff from last year makes me realise how much they've changed the programme, in my eyes not for the better, but I suppose they've just gone to try and recapture the housewives & young mums.

Its not that different, all Daybreak was in the first place was a repackaged and more polished version of GMTV. Now they've just lapsed back into GMTV mode. The only thing in the video they don't do is make it overly topical, and it was never that topical in the first place.

I think in the early shows it was more that the banter between everyone worked well. Although saying that the other morning the report finished and Tasmin was staring down reading the laptop for 5 seconds or so before realising & having Adrian quip in by looking at their laptop & trying to work out what she was reading.

I suppose because things were new, the set was shown off a lot more, and things seemed a bit gimmicky. The negative press & then the darker mornings having to use that hideous bright yellow things took things downhill quite a bit.

But there was (imo) better banter on GMTV, it isn't exclusive to Daybreak. It hasn't changed that much, I just think the novelty has worn off.
