Something along the lines of ITV1's 3@three would be good.

I think that set is vile!

Ditto.

One point i'd like to make about Daybreak's windows is that i think they should put more voltage through them! What is the point of having the view if it is just blue washed?! I'd like to see it more like this: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_52fEs928HmQ/TH9yjqJ6S_I/AAAAAAAAA7I/_q3z_smhcYc/s1600/article-1307842-0AFC98DF000005DC-611_468x286.jpg
And less like this:

Is the difference in those pictures not to do with the fact that firstly the top one probably wasn't taken in the morning, hence a better view, and secondly that a digital camera would have been used rather than a television camera? When I've been to visit TV Studios, it often looks different when you see it to how it looks on camera.

I don't mean that - I mean the colours.

Red is a particular example that comes to mind. When I visited North West Tonight's studio (which has large areas of red), I was quite surprised at how dark and gloomy it looked, but when you see it through the camera lenses it looked much brighter.

The set looked so good in those early days before they decided to make a garden of it and copy parts of Breakfast.

They should have just had a replica of the purple sofas but in red- exactly like Graham Norton's sofa. That would have looked a lot better than the monstrosity they have now.

I just think the red sofa looks stupid with the purple logo, should have just had the red one done in purple.

That photo of the first look does look so much better then the current look.

The studio just looks shockingly bad at the moment - I'm looking forward to these set changes in September, it surely has to be an improvement!

I absolutely agree the main problem with the current set is the awful large red sofa that is too big and looks completely out of place. At least with the original purple sofa it was the right size in proportion to the rest of the studio. As Badger 264 quite rightly points out if they used a replica red sofa from the Graham Norton Show it would be an improvement.

It was interesting looking at the the website of Jonathan Paul Green, the set designer of the Daybreak studio. If you have a look at the web links below it is interesting to see how they constructed the studio over a 10 day period last August.

If it took 10 days to revamp Studio 7 for Daybreak with the 'significant set changes' coming does that mean the work could last more than several days therefore meaning that Daybreak would have to be broadcast from another studio perhaps? Or as I thought maybe they will do it during the weekend to minimise disruption to the programme.

Also if you look below there is a picture gallery of the Daybreak studio on launch day back in September;

Spending nearly three hours each day sat on the Graham Norton sofa would be very unhealthy for Adrian and Christine's postures. Like the original Daybreak sofa, its back is uncomfortably low.

Looks like Christine, Adrian and Lucy in about 10 years, with little else to do. Embarassed (coat has been gotten)
