No one has mentioned that the toth at 7am at least is now playing the shorter version, without the build up to the toth. They did this late last year at some point. I prefer the same longer version every hour unless the hour is running late, although a few seconds really doesn't help to save time.

They launched with the shorter version IIRC. The longer version should be played at 7am and the shorter version at 8am if they insist on the shorter version, although most viewers won't notice anyway. The headlines have also made a welcome return and the flow has become a lot better. I'm also really liking Christine at the moment, I find her very infectious.

I've not watched Daybreak in a few weeks now I've finished school. It about time they used the short theme though. IMO they should use the long at 6 and 7. Then bring the short titles in at 7:30 after the weather. This then as a programme breaker from a slightly more serious side to the programme (6-7:30), to the 'softer' programme at 7:30 - 8:30. Same idea as Newshour really... Except it's more Newshour and a half...

I've just noticed that Dan has started to present the news from the sofa, I did think that this was just when he was presenting the show though. I wonder if this is just a temporary measure if the big screen behind the sports desk is broken or something?

It appeared to be the big screen as usual.

With Adrian & Kate at the helm today, are they developing two teams, or just trying things out in the summer months?

Christine is probably unavailable, isn't she working on a new gameshow? But I do find that Adrian & Kate and Dan & Christine are better pairings than Adrian & Christine. The One Show chemistry hasn't transferred across to ITV at all.

Personally I like the new presenting teams, If that is what they're doing. Aswell later in the month when Frank whisks Christine off on this cruise where he will reportedly propose to her, Kate will be doing a lot more presenting I imagine, unless they do start to use Grainne again.

Whoops... titles failed to play at 6am. We just got a still of the opening shot before fading to Adrian and Kate.

Technical problems on Tyne Tees & Border at around 8:18 after regional news yesterday - cut to Kate Fisher leaving the studio followed by a still of empty studio. During the ad breaks a slide 'Daybreak Tyne Tees & Border: Back Soon'...

Whilst on ITV1 Yorkshie +1 generic slide of 'ITV1 Yorkshire'..
