Sian and Chris will 'continue to be involved' so I imagine there will be a London studio of some form, if not mirroring Daybreak and having a new show airing fromm 8.30-9.15am.

'for the foreseeable future' - in the sense they're not leaving tomorrow. I really don't see there being a separate programme - there isn't the money for it.

Odd use of the word 'foreseeable' if that is the meaning... Certainly 2012 is foreseeable...

As is tomorrow,

Clever use of the word really. Options are left open all round

Wow. I have just had my first lengthened experience of the programme they call "Daybreak". (Have only seen 5 minute clips on Youtube thus far).

All I can say is..........................

I'm not too sure when the 'terrace' will be finished but it seems to take forever to complete it. I was watching today's programme which has convinced me that Christine presents much better with Dan. For instance she doesn't giggle as much (if that annoys anyone... I actually like it), she seems much more professional and they seem much more of a natural presenting couple. In comparison I think Adrian presents much better with Grainne or Kate. Last week I was surprised to see how well they presented together. I also agree with Badger 264 the first half hour is okay with the brief TOTH, handover to Tasmin, News headlines, and In the Mix. It just seems the second part of the hour is always in consistent. I get the impression they are always trying to fill the second half with content whereas they could expand the news coverage that way they wouldn't struggle. If they decide to revamp in September which they will probably do they should really consider the whole structure of the programme and presenting duo's. I don't mind watching Adrian and Christine together just think she's better with Dan. I think they should even consider re-introducing a news hour between 6am and 7am that is orientated towards the news and lightweight features.

Why is the word terrace being written in quotes?

It's a terrace.

Also I've noticed they've removed the small corner wall to the left hand side of the sofa to the way it used to when Daybreak launched. I noticed it when I was watching Lucy's intro to the weather and being able to see the window. If they removed the LED screens then you can see more clearly the panoramic view of London. I don't know if that has anything to do with the terrace behind the main windows. I think as the daylight hours are getting longer the views should look fantastic.

It would look a lot better if they ditched the blinds and yellow screens and going back to the original look, something they'll probably do when the terrace is completed and the sun is fully up at 6am. And then bring the screens and blinds back in the autumn.

This would be the original look that whilst stylish is cold an unappealing and has been explained to be so on numerous occasions throughout this thread.

The problem with the original set is getting like the "how do I get BBC World on Sky" question from back in the day really.

But they've changed the lighting to be much softer and using warmer colours. It doesn't look as clinical. It has come full circle and the blinds and new sofa are the only physical difference between now and launch. Not to mention that it only looked so cold because it was pitch black outside.

If you removed the blinds, you'd still have quite dark mornings and then yellow lights reflecting on the glass - it'd be just as bad as the launch. Although I agree the lights have made a great difference, particularly on the wooden walls (which looked very dark at first) the blinds are an easy way to block out the days when the skyline is dark/misty/rainy etc.
