Perhaps just a few adjustments over the weekend - a la Christmas, when they put in the blinds on the windows - and took away the awful panels and millions of flowers.

Since the windows have been opened again they've been using both the camera facing the wood panel and the clock above - and using a slightly awkward sidewards shot for when they use the London view as the backdrop.

Maybe they'll be moving the new sofa that it is angled better, removing the wood panel behind the guests, using a few new colours around the studio, etc?

There isn't much they can do in terms of the main area, perhaps removing one or both of the wooden walls and using a lighter wood instead. The sports desk, news desk and video wall will probably be replaced, and they might get rid of that pointless TV too.

I'm guessing it will coincide with the new roof terrace, and judging by some of the camera angles they've been using over the last few days, they might put the sofa directly in front of the window.

A different sofa. Adrian Chiles, Christine Bleakly sat on said sofa. A view over London and about 2 and a half hours of television branded as Daybreak. Wink

I hope they relight the purple back wall in the studio. I loved it when there was other purple in the studio, now it looks odd. They have gone over the top with the yellow though.

Just seen the new spring break-bumper of daffodils, looks alright. The new -red- sofa stands out though doesn't it! Exclamation

The new sofa makes the graphics look out of place as they clash with the sofa shots of the studio. Why didn't they change the studio colour as it is mainly LED lights anyway so it isn't hard to change? Overall I think it looks more like GMTV than ever before.

Can't help but think it looks a bit too big for the stage, the purple sofa's fitted nicely. But on the closer shots, it looks quite nice. Not much of an improvement though.

Given how other elements of the set remain purple, and the graphics, I think a bit of a relaunch may be on the way soon. Wasn't there a brand consultant on Twitter who said something about Comic Relief may aswell have taken the full set?

I don't like that sofa, to big and the red does not fit in, but I can see the whole look going red in a few weeks Rolling Eyes

I prefer the shape of the new sofa, especially without the gap. The screen now looks far more at home. But the colour clash is horrendous and doesn't fit in at all. If there really is a new set coming soon, as suggested by the set designer, then its quite clear that this sofa is for that. They should have brought the old one out of the green room for the time being, or even gave that one to Ant & Dec.

Like all breakfast TV revamps, it always ends up back how it was and Daybreak is quickly morphing into GMTV Laughing. The red sofa, view of St Pauls, and even the current blind set up looks like the old 'window' frame. Perhaps they should have revamped GMTV with Adrian & Christine in the first place, rather than pretending it was a new show.
