They could slant the windows so the reflecions bounce onto the floor instead of into the camera!

That would just over complicate things and I imagine it would cost a fair bit too. The system they've got is fine. Their next issue will be whether there will be strong sun or not during the summer (probably not knowing British weather Laughing). But its something This Morning suffers from and they have film on their windows to make them darker which is fine for that show, but it would defeat the object of having windows on Daybreak.

That's an option if you are building a new building - not that easy when you're rebuilding a 1960s skyscraper...

Haven't they got a system set up that can tint or darken the windows?

I'm wondering whether they'll remove the wooden wall behind the guests when its light at 6am again (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Nquk0pE4Ew).

I really hope so!

Today's Daybreak was appalling and definitely didn't help its reputation. There was literally no news other than Dan's sport bulletin. I have no problem with them covering The Oscars, GMTV did it as well, but there comes a point whhen you need to draw a line.

I only caught the first 15 minutes and it consisted of a 3 minute opener, 3 minutes of News, Tom Hanks, Piers Morgan and Jane Fonda all live via Kate Garraway, that was enough to make me go to work. Laughing

It's one day a year and in my opinon it's not that annoying, if GMTV was still on air I doubt they'd have done it differently.

Oscars coverage during breakfast programmes always annoys me, it's always about getting 'the' interview with a certain person, so they are constantly throwing back to the reporter and cutting into other items. It was the same on GMTV, the same on Breakfast, even the Big Breakfast used to do it.

I like how Kate couldn't say you're live on Daybreak, even to British stars. As they didn't have a clue what channel it was on. At one point she even said "you're live on ITV Breakfast". Razz Carla was much better in this role on GMTV.

I have to say I was quite shocked at the fact that there was no news except Tasmin's short bulletins at her usual times, and even she lead on the Oscars. I seem to remember, even GMTV would cover other stories and then break into the Vanity Fair party if anyone important arrived.
