That's what I thought too, Inspector, but BBC Breakfast managed to maintain a fairly healthy 1.2m, although down slightly on usual ratings.

I thought Daybreak had settled around the 800,000 mark, so a drop to below half of that (390,000) is probably quite significant to the mandarins at ITV Towers.

i don't normally watch breakfast tv, however, i was up with my little boy and the tv just happened to have been left on itv1.

i think the main reason why daybreak is loosing viewers is simply it isn't very good. it isn't pacey, whatever they were talking about (went into something random with bobby davro) but it doesn't hold the attention.

they might have managed to get a good presenter combo with good chemistry, but people didn't watch the one show to see the 'chemistry' between chiles and bleakley, they watched because some of the items and reports were interesting to them. from what i've seen, daybreak seems not to have any of the resources to create interesting reports and packages.

and as for lorraine kelly (didn't watch her show, but did catch an insert).... just put her down, please.

Have they axed Four Poofs and a Piano? They haven't been on the last few weeks. I caught the end of the show today and they just cut to Lorraine (on a friday?! Shocked ) I thought they would have at least done a round up of the year.

Lorraine (on a friday?! Shocked )

Only because 'Lorraine' has been pre-recorded all week. Usually they insist on all broadcasts being live.

I'm thinking he means the fact they cut straight to Lorraine on a Friday is odd rather than having Lorraine presenting on a Friday being odd.

Cut away all the fluff and posturing, you have probably just fairly and squarely hit the nail on the head.

No they performed a small part of The Flood by Take That at about 8:20am.

I must admit I do like Daybreak but there are some issues such as Tamzin and Christine which should be looked at.

Do we know if there are going to be any significant changes on Monday or Tuesday when sadly we all get back to normality?

I'd lose Tasmin, get Fred back on the weather to share with Lucy while Kirsty on mat leave. Also make sure people like John Stapleton, Grainne are used as regularly as people like Sue Jameson who seems to be on most days, I like Sue and think she gives the show some weight, she's good but can be light hearted too. Never ever ever going to happen but would love to see Moira on the newsdesk, or failing that Nick DIxon's always good!
