TV-am in its first few weeks can hardly be compared to the programme it quickly became.

As I say, GMTV lost viewers.. but relatively few of them went to BBC Breakfast. They just went. BBC Breakfast became the market leader by default.

Also, this is a daft point, but how many of GMTV's viewers ever watched The One Show so really know who Adrian and Christine are? They'd only know them second hand from the papers. I'd have thought the bulk of GMTV's core audience were likely to have been Emmerdale fans and certainly core ITV1 viewers.

We also stream the show live on the website but use IP blocking software to prevent non-North American visitors from viewing it. You can try using IP proxy software but in 99.9% of the cases, this is readily identifiable and remains blocked.

There's a surprise - CBS blocking live streaming for everyone outside of North America Rolling Eyes

Your radio counterparts are even more aggressive when it comes to Geo-locking. Although I know the reasons for blocking the music stations like 101.1FM WCBS because the far too mighty record companies have the music radio stations over a very big barrell over extra royalty payments for website re-broadcasting, the thing that still rankles me is the blocker has been applied to ALL CBS stations. I still fail to understand why, when exactly 0% of the output is music on 880 WCBS AM, 1010 WINS & 660 WFAN are blocked - they are all speech stations for god sake. Directing everyone to the very poor last.fm is just kicking you down.

I'm not having a go at you Schwing, but sometimes I wonder if someone should put a map of the world in the CBS internal mail system to remind Leslie Mooves that there is a world beyond 57th Street in New York and the output on CBS talk stations is far more entertaining that some of the derge pumped out by 5 Live or LBC.

Dragging it back on subject - maybe Daybreak could do a feature on the problems now faced by internet listeners wanting to listen to live North Amercian radio output?

This is not true. All Live video content from CBSNews.com - including Backstage Live, Special Reports, Extended coverage, @KatieCouric webcasts ect. are available elsewhere (i.e - globally). This is because CBS Interactive use USTREAM.

Parts of the CBS Early Show on Saturdays are streamed on JustinTV by CBS, unless it's changed now.

Looking forward to Daybreak tomorrow, I do feel a little sad though waking up extra early just to watch it, although I'm assuming a lot here will be doing the same.

The PVR is set, haven't watched Friday's GMTV yet though! I shall wake at my leisure tomorrow.

Same here, V+ is set to record ITV1 HD for Daybreak and Lorraine so I can watch after work.

What will he say on Daybreak thet he hasn't said when interviewed on BBC2, 5 Live, RTE and subsequently shown on all the news bulletins?

He's a good booking but by Monday everyone will be bored of him, and the fact that his memoirs are the fastest selling ever means that he doesn't really need to be there at all

i notice Sky News have been plugging his appearance on Sunrise tomorrow as well though

If only i had sky+ , although I am doing live updates on ATV, not that anyone will be reading the site at that time of the morning lol.

It will also be interesting to see how Lorraine performs in the ratings as a separate show.

Yeah - I still think other media are likely to run clips of Blair’s appearance on Daybreak (and Sunrise) – especially after his hostile reception in Dublin yesterday.

Hmm - The One Show has hit audiences over 7m, and regularly sits in the 3.5-4.5million bracket. Given it's early evening slot, and its relative popularity with a lower-than-normal-BBC demographic (i.e. it's better than most BBC programmes at attracting a C2DE kind of audience), I'd imagine a bit of cross-over. Not everyone likes soaps.

According to Granada News - first regional news bulletin, in daybreak, is at 6:15!

Shame I will already be on the train to work at that time (my time being 7:15)
