TES doesn't seem to post anything.

Actually, we do post interviews, reports and segments from the show on the website after they have aired. We also stream the show live on the website but use IP blocking software to prevent non-North American visitors from viewing it. You can try using IP proxy software but in 99.9% of the cases, this is readily identifiable and remains blocked. The only exception is when we have special report coverage of an event (such as a Presidential Statement or a breaking story). There are limitations to the amount of video and programming that can broadcast online to the UK due to sponsorship, advertising deals and the like.

Ooh thanks for that! Any particular reason you have no (or at least a limited) presence on iTunes and Youtube like the other two? I shall have to start checking it out Smile

On all of the computers in this house, in any browser, the Daybreak and Lorraine websites look very broken. Like a style sheet is missing or something. Is it showing like this for anyone else or is it just a bizarre fault with us?

Should point out that the 71 Degrees North website also looks like this, too but no other itv.com pages as far as I can see...

Confirmed First Guest for Daybreak:

Quote:
Tomorrow, Mr Blair's travelling circus will pull up outside the studios of ITV, when he becomes the first guest on its revamped breakfast show, Daybreak, hosted by Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley – the duo poached from the BBC for a reputed £10m.

Quite a good idea to get Tony Blair, whilst there's already been the BBC Andrew Marr interview, no doubt clips from the Daybreak interview will be all over the major news bulletins - which can only help in promoting the new show.

What will he say on Daybreak thet he hasn't said when interviewed on BBC2, 5 Live, RTE and subsequently shown on all the news bulletins?

He's a good booking but by Monday everyone will be bored of him, and the fact that his memoirs are the fastest selling ever means that he doesn't really need to be there at all

I'm sure you're right (he'll be saying the same old stuff he's said on all other outlets) but it's still a decent booking for the first programme, to have a former PM, and one that is currently in the news.

That's why I put "whilst there's already been the BBC Andrew Marr interview."

But you never know, there might be another topic from the book that hasn't been covered by the other interviews. Or he'll say something that is more of an exclusive. Plus if Tony Blair just about mentions Iraq, it will be on the ITV News 99.9% and most proberbly BBC News too.

And the "fastest selling book" is only for policital books I think.
But I think he loves the limelight anyway!
Apart from the proceeds going to charity, he has little to gain from this, apart from his image of course.

Well like you say, although a former PM, his still very much in the news.

They were like that for me too but now they are all back to normal.

They've got HRH The Prince of Wales and Emma Thompson in the first show.

Not keen on the Blair booking, Cameron might have been better.

Quite a varied line up. I agree Cameron might have been better, but I suppose unless the Cameron's took the new baby, it would be less lilkely to get as much news coverage.

Just found this on the ITV Press Centre:

Quote:
TONY BLAIR and HRH THE PRINCE OF WALES are both set to appear on ITV1’s new breakfast programme Daybreak during its first week of transmission.

Following the release of his new autobiography, the former prime minister will join Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley on the sofa on Monday morning to give his first live UK television interview since publication of the book titled A Journey.

On Friday, Daybreak will feature an exclusive interview with HRH The Prince of Wales. Adrian and Christine will interview the Prince as part of a week long special on his new START initiative national tour. Oscar winning actress, EMMA THOMPSON will also be live in the studio to talk about her involvement in the initiative.

Also in week one of the new breakfast programme, Chief Correspondent Richard Gaisford investigates how the dream of a new life abroad has turned sour for thousands of Brits; Dr Hilary Jones has an investigation into Britain’s benefits system. There’s the extraordinary story of a family reunited after more than 25 years; and Special Correspondent John Stapleton, will be bringing Daybreak viewers an exclusive investigation on day one.

So I suppose the Prince Of Wales interview will be pre recorded?

For a show that is meant to be more news based - there is no space for news on the website??! Its like the GMTV website currently, but with a facelift!

Tony Blair? Does this mean that the windows will be covered with broken eggs on the first day then?!
