Yes, despite it being a completley different programme alltogether. But whatever works on the One Show, then it has to work on Daybreak.
Well to be fair to Danslink he was only talking about their introductions - not any actual segments of The One Show. A simple "This is Daybreak with ..." said by AC & CB will work fine.
I hope they don't do that annoying thing they did on The One Show:
'with Adrian Chiles' (says Christine)
'... and Christine Bleakley' (says Adrian)
and if they do their own intro it will be sure to be like that. I think it's quite common to intoduce the other presenter - IMO for some reason doesn't seem right when presenters introduce themselve's. But I know what you mean does sometimes seem a bit arkward when they do it on the one show.
Is Tamsin going to cover when both Kate and Christine are away .
Also Grania (Hope I spelt that right) did some newsreading on sky so she could be cover for Tamsin .
Why they need two weather girls I don't know.
It's Gráinne
I wouldn't fancy working 5 days a week throughout the whole year and only having the weekends to look forward to, If I remember correctly Clare Nasir works at gmtv producing (a majority of the time) even if Kirsty is presenting the forecast.

Thanks for clearing the Gráinne spelling up for me .
I Dont expect the weather girl to work 5 days a week all year when they have holiday leave or any other absence a itv forecaster could cover .
Do we still not know what the plans are for the weekends?
I would imagine weekends will remain part of citv for the time being, with itv focusing on getting it right during the week first. The BBC did the same thing really, as Breakfast only used to run on BBC News 24 on a Saturday and Sunday and Saturdays it finished at 8am for a simmulcast with BBC 2 and Weekend 24. It was not until the move to BBC 1 in 2004/5 did Breakfast's weekend profile get raised.

I think the majority of working people have to work 5 days a week throughout the whole year and only have the weekends to look forward.
I assumed he was saying there are going to be points where the weather presenter needs holidays, sick leave and other time off but Daybreak keep going, thus having two weather presenters means they can rota time between them.
Also, with the two also acting as "Environment correspondent" I'm guessing we could also see them both on screen on the same day.

I think they should have a seven day a week show like Breakfast. Perhaps have John and Kate or Grainne as weekend presenters.

IIRC, ITV announced that they were going to axe all childrens programming on itv 1. I think that there should be some sort of show, even if its 6-8.
