Daybreak's website must be soon due for another update with 4 weeks before launch. I bet it will be nothing compared to GMTV's because it will be under the same format as the news or This Morning, basic. Although I found GMTV's website messy, it had lots of things on there plenty of pages.

I would hope it mirrors This Mornings.

Well I don't want another website going down the blog route. I'd prefer a page of the news & sport they are covering, plus sufficient weather information (something GMTV lacked a few years back, not now)

I am wondering whether the ITV News and Daybreak sites will combine news stories if the Daybreak site does have news. Also the GMTV Weather site is better that ITV's so hopefully the same Weather style and section will be part of the new site.

I've never watched the one show I'm either out or it clashes with Emmerdale. I'm, quite looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about over Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakely on Daybreak. Oh and the new set and identy stuff of course.
Breakfast viewing needs revamping It's never been the same since the Zig and Zag big breakfast days.

I wouldn't have said the 'spark' between Adrian and Christine was that unique - it would be a similar scenario to the BBC poaching Phil Schofield and Fern Britton (going back a few years Wink) to present The One Show, really. They work well as a team, interact in a friendly, non-provocative way and find each other quite pleasing and funny. Nothing outstanding, but a good partnership none the less.

Whether they'll work on Daybreak is to be seen - and I think as much will be about how serious Daybreak is. I just can't see Adrian and Christine's magic working in a serious news environment.

Part of me is hoping that the programme is not massively serious. Yes I hope that it reports all of the information that everybody wants to know, but also encompasses the friendly, humorous nature of breakfast & daytime tv of old.

The show needs to be more of an ensemble piece alas the show is bigger than the people who present it.

I'd love to post some pictures, but you'll have to wait until it goes to air. It's all very tightly under wraps at present but I believe there may be a Press preview in a few weeks.

Good move for him, he usually does general reports on ITV News, but since the election he seems to have been more their unofficial web/technology correspondent.
